Chapter 1
The office had much more people then how it usually had. I myself was also as surprised as i got assigned to the top crime case. The room went silent, no one thought that me the newest recruit would get such a hard case.. I mean even the more experienced detectives couldn't solve it, so how could i? And also, i had only been here for like a week. Suddenly, i heard someone in the distance complain to our boss. 'Boss, his isn't fair!' He whines. 'Why isn't it? I think that Ryan is capable enough to solve this case.' She says while glaring at him. 'He only started last week!' He replied back. 'Stop complaining and work! You only snooze at work anyway!' She yells back her tone filled with rage. 'Sorry, boss..' He says in a apologetic tone. 'Shut the hell up! Get back to work before i make you!' Her tone was much more enraged. 'Boss?' I called out calmly. 'What is it Ryan?' She asked her tone more calm. 'I feel glad to have gotten such a good case but.. Maybe Liam is right, I mean, I only started last week..' I answered. 'What bullshit has Liam been feeding you!?' Her tone harsh, but it seems to be more directed at my coworker Liam. 'When will i try to solve that case?' I asked nervously. 'How about, next week.. You would have had enough training before then.' She answered more calmly. 'Okay then.' I replied. Liam was shaking, probably still frightened from when he just got yelled at. Our boss then leaves us to talk to each other. 'Sorry about that...' Liam says sincerely. 'It's fine..' I answered. 'It's just that i really wanted to try and solve thag case, I've always wanted to from the very beginning.' Liam adds. 'Maybe i could try to convince her that you can work with me?' I suggested. Liam glares at me as if i had just murdered someone, maybe working with this guy would be a bad choice, Liam has always been competitive with things, especially cases. 'Sure, ask her.' Liam says his face faltering back to his usual expression. I give Liam a quick nod before i rush off to go and find our boss, Liam, he's one tough cookie to crack.. But i bet I'll crack him, just you wait and see...
