"I’m honestly not exactly sure how much I liked this story. The plot/story idea was great. A ton of potential. I think I’m struggling with what feels like jarring time/info jumps and with missing information all together. I loved the characters but I also found myself rejecting some of their actions because they felt uncharacteristic. Feels weird to say the most compelling and understood character for me was the demon/shadow. There were also some characters thrown in out of nowhere. Unless there’s going to be a book 2, and even though the ending was good, it also felt incomplete. But like I said, there’s a lot of potential here. I would love to see a second book that could clear some of that up. I did find myself doing some deep thinking around the storyline. **oh and I was wondering if your writing was a bit inspired by “TAPS” tv series?"
