Chapter

“I will never leave you love, that’s a promise”. She said as her eyes met mine, our lips slowly touches each other while our hearts seems creating a sweet lullaby in every single beat of it. We’re under the bright moon, countless stars are above us and I can say, the atmosphere’s inlove as so I am to her.

Stella and I have a relationship for almost 7 years. All I can say is, I am blessed to have an intelligent, calm, sweet, and caring girlfriend. I courted Stella for almost 1 year by singing to her and doing that “HARANA” things to her every single night.

“Puno ang langut ng bituwin, at kay lamig pa ng hangin, sa iyong tingin ako’y nababaliw, giliw” I strung my guitar and sang for her. I can see how happy she was until I finished singing for her.

“Did you like that, baby?” I asked her.

“No. I LOVE IT!” she said while clapping her hands.

“I am so blessed to have you, love” she continued.

“No. WE ARE BOTH blessed to have each other, baby!” I responded.

“You’re not giving those butterflies again, aren’t you? she responded with a big smile on her face.

“What id I say YES? what are you gonna do?” I said crazily and bout to grab her waist but she ran.

“Oopz, distance babe!” I heard her giggled.

And now, i’m running after her, “I catch you, i’ll eat you!” I said and shifted my voice into a shaky one for me to sound like a monster. OKAY, here we are again, my childish girl is alive.

Tomorrow is her 20th birthday. I can’t wait to propose to her. YES. You heard me. I’m planning this very big surprise for her. I can’t sleep beacause of this excitement i’m feeling right now.

It’s 12:05 in the afternoon. Everything is perfect. Until I saw how gorgeous my woman is. I’m feeling a bit weird now because i’m excited but too nervous also.

“Happiest birthday to my gorgeous woman” I uttered while singing for her again. After that, I get down on my knee, and raised the diamond ring. I saw how my woman is nervous.

“Ms, Stella Santos, are you willing to have my surname on your name, and accept me to be with you for a lifetime?” I asked her, tears are formed in my eyes.

“ Stella Garcia? sounds perfectly good!” she said and laughed.

“ It’s a YES love!” wait, what?!

“ YES? YES!” i exclaimed and hugged her.

Everyone cheered for tge bith of us tha night. We both dances and sang her favourite song, I mean OUR LOVE SONG. we planned that we are getting married after 2 days, after her birthday. Two days before our wedding, I sent to her parents all the plan and also, her long white dress.

“Mom, Dad” I said her parents, “Please help me for the biggest surprise. “Kindly put this dress on her room and tell her, she’s getting married” I smiled sweetly. “ Be ready of what will happen, okay?” her mom said in teary eyes. I proudly knodded.

One day left before the wedding. I haven’t seen her since the last 48 hours and I missed her so much. I think I can’t take another day without my Stella but my parents said it’s better this way because it’s the traditional way to push the bad luck away.

And finally! Today us the day that our buggest dream will come true! I woke up so early, I prepared myself and checked everything for later’s most special day for the bith of us.

It’s already 10:00 am. Everything is perfect, everyone is here. But—where is my girlfriend’s parents? Thet must be here at this time.

One...Two...Three. Three hours had passed. Where is she? “Is she coming?” the priest asked. “O-ofcoures!” I said. Did she ran away from our wedding? Negative thoughts showered in my mind. People are slowly leaving.

I directly came to their house, shaking, sweating. WHAT.THE.HELL.IS.HAPPENING? The moment I opened the door, my eyes immediately found my girl. I smiled. She’s wearing her long white dress. Dlowers are in her hand and she looks so angelic in her makeup.

“What a beautiful brid—”

“You’re aware that time” her mom cutted me.

“Po?” confused.

“You know, she convinced you that the wedding will happen after her birthday bacause.... it’s the last day fighting for her cancer...” those words just woke be up back to the reality again.

“I know, mom” tears escaped from my eyes.

I shifted my gaze back to my girl, and walked towards her. “Look at you, baby. That long white dress looks really good on you” I whispered. “Your wish came true... but— I thought you’d walk down the aisle with those flowers you’re holding right now”.

I’m wrong. Totally wrong, because the truth is, you were planning for your burial that time, and not for our wedding. “You look so beautiful in white” I said while convincing myself that’s not all stories will ended up with a happy ending
