Can Love go Viral?

"On the surface Adah, appears to be an attractive but simple, young woman. A college girl whose beauty may cause a speculative look from a fellow student or two, but nothing further than that. In reality Adah’s life is full of trauma and intrigue. She is the mysterious force behind erasing pornographic and illegal images from criminal websites. All she needs is a little time with a laptop and a few quick keystrokes. But Adah also endures a troubled life at home. Her father is often drunk and beats her shamelessly. Her mother is unsympathetic and insists to Adah that she deserves every strike from her father’s hands. Her brother is sympathetic, but is almost as helpless as Adah to stop the physical and mental abuse. Adah’s only enjoyment in life is her time spent with her cousin Siya, and contemplating reigniting the hot relationship she had with a boy named Tamas so many years ago. Tamas pretends to hardly know Adah now. But Adah believes she can help him remember his tender feelings for her …if her father doesn’t get involved. This was an interesting novel with a nice twist in the romance plot. I don’t think I’ve read a story before about how childhood sweethearts from the past, mutually pretend not to know each once they’ve grown-up. It makes for a lot of fun awkwardness when they are forced to communicate with each other. The Book Witch has built a sympathetic character with Adah. You feel for her suffering and like Adah, you can’t wait until she finds a way to escape her abusive home. A powerful novel, that reminds you the necessity for love and kindness in each of our lives. Holds A Lot of Promise

"As I told all the authors I've reviewed, I'm a rather harsh critic. That being said, I DO like your book. In many places, your writing is exceptional; depth of characters; strong emotions; good dialog; suspense; moral principals or the lack thereof. Personally, there are scenes I'd like to see you expand upon. They're well-written, but I feel you cut them short; you rush through them. Giving them a few more lines would add depth to the plot and the purpose of the scene. But overall, nice job!"
