Summary
Lyra Thompson, once a hopeful artist, thought she had found salvation in Marcus, a powerful figure who promised to elevate her career. Desperate for recognition, she saw him as her guiding light, but what began as a lifeline quickly became a suffocating cage. Marcus controlled every aspect of her life-her words, her actions, even her relationships. He isolated her from friends and belittled her art, stripping away her passion until she no longer recognized the artist she had been. Her career, once full of promise, withered under his cruel manipulation. Humiliated at social events and gaslighted in private, Lyra's spirit began to break. Her studio, once vibrant, became a tomb where her dreams died. By the time Marcus betrayed her, leaving her in ruin, Lyra was a shadow of the woman she once was-blacklisted, in debt, and unable to even face a blank canvas without feeling worthless. With no hope left, Lyra wondered if there was any way to survive this emptiness, or if she would simply fade away, a shadow of who she once was
