What is your opinion?

Slow start, quick end

"Space romance. There are definitely some very sweet & endearing moments, especially in the latter part of the book. The plot idea is definitely intriguing. What I feel hurts the book the most is the way phrases, descriptions, and even the occasional paragraphs are repeated. This book honestly could have been shorter & been more efficient. I like descriptions, I like having a good foundation to visualize a story, but giving the exact description every time is too much. I don't need to be constantly reminding that her dark hair has silver strands that glisten in the light. Way too much repetition. This book also tries to be many things, which isn't straight up a bad thing, but it misses the mark. It has timeline jumps & multiple povs (in third person), & the problem is they just flow together. When changing povs, either start a new chapter or add a break like or something. When a timeline dramatic changes specify. I did apriciate, between chapters it was said "3 years earlier" but that was only one. These two things made this book really hard to dive into & enjoy the ride. Towards the last third of the book (maybe), it really takes off. There's still descriptive repeats constantly, but the story is moving. POVs still ram into one another, but the story is building. Then boom, it done. All wrapped up in a bow. I did feel the end was written to fit a specific way, so I wasn't blown away by it. Logistically, it felt wonky, but I do like a happy ending. The characters were overall fun, even the side ones. A few had me smirking & shaking my head. There are some precious moments, some enduring spots that had me awing. It was a good ride. I appreciate the author's willingness to share this book! Thank you!"

Is this book really done?

"Gosh, this book shows as Completed, but I'm at a loss if it is. There are so many loose ends, it feels like it's not done. Please finish it. Thanks!"
