Chapter 1
SJaime's and Alexa's businesses are doing well. Today is the morning of Alex Nunez party, March 7th. Julia is throwing her a lavish party at the Legacy Hotel. She has purchased Alexa her own thorough bred. Alexa saw it and loved his name of Brown Eyes. Julia has kept her horse at Jaime's clinic until this morning when Julia went to go get it for her.
" Sweetie, the blind fold is necessary, so you won't see your birthday gift. It's something you have been wanting for the past year."
Julia held my hands and guided me outside. She had me get into her truck. We drove for a whole. I had no clue where we were at. She stops and turns the engine off. She closes her door and gets me out of the passenger front seat.
"I have lowered the truck, so just step down. I won't let you fall."
Jaime, Cindy, Jake, Cole, Alice, and Tim were on horses but at a distance so she wouldn't hear them. I hold onto her arm and guide her to brown eyes. Brown Eyes uses his long tongue to lick her face.
" Julia, that isn't your tongue. It's too rough. What is that licked me?"
I tell her to remove her blind fold and she smiles, jumps in my arm, and gives me a very long, passionate kiss and hugs me.
" Brown Eyes, I have been saving money to buy you. I didn't want to put up any property or take out a loan. You're such a handsome horse, and you're mine."
" Jake and I will take care of all vet bills for you and do the checkups and shots ourselves." "Thanks."
She kisses them both on their cheeks and pinches Jaime. Jaime smiles and Saya ouch. Jake blushes.
"Sweetie, I bought you your gear and had them emboss it with your name and Brown Eyes' name so no one can say the saddle is theirs."
I tell Cindy thank you. I hugged her and kissed her on her cheek, too. She blushes, too.
Alice states she and Tim will purchase the food for Brown Eyes'. Brown Eyes is very picky on what he eats. Thus, the reason the seller was having a difficult time selling him. I hugged and kissed them, too, on their cheeks. Tim blushes, and Alice teases him.
" Sweetie, now since everyone is hugged and kissed by you. Let's get going. What do you say?"HELLO WHAT TYPE OF QUESTION IS THAT? LET'S GO!"
Alexa and I get on the horses and say giddy up to White Silk and Brown Eyes. The weather is nice. We all have a hat of some sort, sunglasses on and long sleeve shirts on. We are riding on Julia and Cindy's property. Julia considers only the homes her property except the house Cindy lives in. Cindy's nephew had asked their aunt to expand his home last summer, and she did. Of course, the monthly rent and insurance went up. The value in each home increased on the one story home. They were fortunate that three areas they expanded. It didn't show a color difference in the concrete fiber board. We raced and had fun riding. Cindy's nieces had set up a picnic lunch for them, and Hannah made a white butter cup frosting cake with red velvet inside. She air brushed Brown Eyes on top of the cake, which said, "Welcome to the Nunez family." Cindy's family, which included her daughters from a previous marriage from Darlene, had champagne in ice buckets. They had on my crystal flute Brown Eyes picture. The background was his former stall with his name on it. Cindy said her niece, nephew and their spouses made all the food which was bakes beans, corn on the cobz spinach dip with cut squares of sour dough bread,chicken and beef skewers with various seasoning depending which one you chose. They had an ice chest filled with bottles of water and a quart of milk for her and Julia so they could have some with the red velvet cake. Coffee was brewing.
" Wow, this is all amazing. I feel like this isn't march 7th but Christmas day. Thank you all for being here and being a part of my life. I will call the others later. This is just the beginning. Julia and I went shopping and found two Vera wanna gowns to wear tonight. As you all know, it's a formal affair. Alcohol will be provided, a live band, and all of the guests have rooms there. Cindy will have a few of her bodyguards requesting everyone's keys. I am told by Julia. If you don't give up your keys, you will be asked to leave."
Cindy and Julia made a toast to me. We all took sips of the champagne. Lisa and Taylor Brooks, Adam, and Jeff Stevens joined us. These four were the main ones who did things with me. They told me congratulations and stated I would get their gifts tonight from them. We all started passing the food and choosing what we wanted to eat. Jaime turns on her cellphone and connects it to a bose speaker and plays music while we eat. The horses are tied up tree limbs. Taylor, Lisa, Adam, and Jeff brought a tub and filled it up with water for the horses that they were drinking.
We finished. We tossed all that was dirty and no longer needed in the trash can by the tables.
Adam uses his lighter to light the candle they brought. Adam said he was nice to only have one candle for Alexa to blow out. We all sing her a happy birthday. She blows the candle, and it keeps coming back on.
" Adam, I thought you liked me." " I do it was his idea, and he bought it." " You sell out. " " Now, now my employees behave. Lisa deal with them later on."
Cindy winks at Lisa and we all laughed. Alexa finally places the candle in Cindy's coffee. Cindy just shook her head at my girlfriend. I cut everyone a piece of cake. Everyone got a piece. Alice and Jaime were pouring people coffee. Alice hands Cindy a new coffee.
" Thanks, at least someone loves me."
Julia, Alexa, Lisa, and Taylor flip her off, and she pretended to be offended. Julia and Alexa eat their piece with a soho cup of milk.
" Alice, Julia told me Cole and Skylar are coming tonight for the party. You, Jake, Bea, and Baird must be excited they are coming." " Sorta of. He brought his girlfriend that we don't like. We told him he is to behave or he will be sent back immediately. Jake and Lisa threatened him."
Cindy and Taylor shook their head and right pointer finger at them. They stated, AND as well as stated, this was Alexa's special day, which was true. We finally finished and cleaned up. Liz, Taylor, Jeff, and Adam took everything back to my nieces and nephews' homes. They left the items that came from the barn, too. We used the restroom before we returned to Cindy's barn. They got her horses settled. Julia and I took our two horses in Julia's trailer back to our home. Julia drove us back, and we got the two horses settled in. One of Julia's horses had died several months ago. Brown Eyes had her still name. Each stall had a wooden burned name plate with each of their name on it.
" Sweetie, this is the value of your horse. Please transfer the medical and other insurances to your policy. Here is my insurance agents name. He and his wife are expecting your call soon."
I took the paperwork and business card from my girlfriend. Julia removes the trailer from her truck and we get back in her truck and she drives us to the house. She has opened the garage and pulls in. She locks her truck and turns the garage alarm on after I unlocked the door. I locl it and I immediately called the agents. I added the horse onto a new insurance policy. I didn't realize how much a thorough bred insurance cost. It was well worth. I had already saved the money. I transferred the money from my savings account . I set up monthly automated withdrawals from my account.
