In the province of Mindoro, Teresa was born and raised. She grew up to be stunning, and every boy in the province vied for her attention. However, Teresa prioritized her studies, determined to make her parents proud.
Among her admirers was Juan, her best friend since childhood. He cherished Teresa not just for her beauty but for her kindness. She was sweet to everyone, and her gentle nature earned her no enemies.
Juan longed to express his feelings but hesitated, knowing his brother Victor also harbored feelings for Teresa.Her mother, Ada, favored Victor, often criticizing Juan's simple attire. One day Ada spoke to Teresa.
Ada: Teresa we need to talk, Teresa keep distance from Juan, I dont like the way he dressed and I heard his a tambay he and his tropa hanging out in front of Aling Nina's store and Aling Maritess said that he's dumb and doesn't seem to care about his grades.
Teresa: really mother? You want me to stay away from Juan just because of the way he dressed? And huh? Juan is not a tambay and Juan ranks first in his class that's fake news who told you that?
Ada: Aling Maritess.

After that argument Teresa did not spoke to her mother and completely ignored her, One day Juan stop by in her house.

Maid: No she just left.
Juan: where did she go?
Maid:she's in her treehouse.
Juan: oh thank you.
Juan went to Teresa's treehouse in there he saw Teresa crying, Juan immediately climb up to see what happened.
Juan: Teresa? Is everything okay?
Teresa: No, Mother insisted me to marry your brother.
Juan: HUH? why?!?
Teresa: Mother prefer Victor more than you because of your simple attire and she said that your a tambay and she said that your dumb.
Juan: really? Wow I cant believe Aunt Ada, she judge my simple attire and huh? I'm not a tambay who said that I was dumb?
Teresa: Aling maritess and I know right? Gosh I can't believe her, I don't even like your brother he's so arrogant and he thinks that every girl in our province like him.
Juan being silent because of the news Teresa just said, Juan's mind was full of questions knowing that if he doesn't confess to her right now it will be too late.
Teresa: Juan? Are you okay?
Waking up Juan in reality
Juan: Yes I'm listening, how many days before you get married?
Teresa: Next Month
Juan: oh you know what? Im heading out see you later bye!

After Juan left he has so many questions in his head thinking how to stop the wedding.In the past few days Juan was so close to Teresa unlike before, they always bond, and then one day Juan tried to wear fancy clothes that day Teresa saw Juan in a fancy clothes, its Teresa's first time to see Juan in a fancy clothes then she realizes that Juan is handsome he just need to figure out his taste about clothes. Juan notice that Teresa is looking at him he can't help but to blush. Teresa laugh after seeing Juan blushed.
Teresa: HAHAHA your so cute when you blush.
Juan: *blush even more* Stop it please.
Teresa: HAHAHAHAHA aw *Teresa patted his head.
And then one day Teresa was catching feelings for Juan she can help but to fall for him everyday not because his handsome but his humor he was sweet, funny and kind. And then when she finally has the courage to tell Juan about her feelings Teresa saw Juan kissing another girl who's named Vina, Teresa's friend Vina was always jealous of Eliana because Teresa has a good life, beautiful every boys like him even Victor, Vina has a big crush on Victor but Victor see's him as a peasant girl,when she found out that Teresa was getting married to Victor she was furious that's why she kissed Juan that day to get revenge, Teresa ran back home crying telling her mother what just happened and that she was ready for the wedding.
Teresa: Mom? I think I'm ready na. *sobbing*
Ada: really Teresa? Oh you don't know how happy I am right now! I promised you will love Victor. *Hugging her*
Teresa: yes mother I'm ready.
Juan 's Pov:
Juan: what the heck Vina!?!
Vina: why? I liked you
Juan: What the heck? I thought you like my brother?!?
Vina: well not anymore he's getting married and your more handsome than Victor.
Juan: Ew why does your lips tasted like tuna? Ew and you already know that I love Teresa right?
Vina: Ugh forget her please she's getting married to your brother and I'm way hotter than her you know.
Juan: Yuck ew who said that? Your mom? Oh wait you don't have a mother HAHAHA your mother is dead.
Vina: AH UGH I HATE YOU JUAN. *Vina shout*
Juan left giggling but he remembered that Vina just kissed him Juan whipping his lips walking back home feeling disgusted he can taste the tuna that Vina eats. He saw his friend Pedro.
Pedro: bro did you hear Teresa is getting married tomorrow?
Juan:huh? What do you mean? Isn't it supposed to be next month? And
Pedro: Aunt Ada said that Teresa was ready so she decided that the wedding should be happen tomorrow.
Juan was shock after hearing the news "Teresa was getting married tomorrow?" He ran to Teresa's house asking about the wedding, when he got there Teresa was already sleeping he went back home feeling sad. He blames himself for not confessing sooner, thinking that things wouldn't have escalated this far. And then the day comes it's time to married Victor Teresa was crying while she getting ready she didn't like him but it's for the best "Juan liked Vina I have to let go beside it's better for me and Juan to be Best friends, I dont want to ruin our "Friendship" she said to herself.
Teresa walking to the aisle accepting her faith. Victor was happy after seeing her in a white dress but something was wrong.
Noah: dang bro you have a taste ha
Victor: yea I know bro once were married I'll be the one running their business.
Noah: whoa so you dont even like Teresa?
Victor: of course not im just pretending and besides her friend Vina is way hotter than Teresa.
Noah: that's messed up bro.
Victor: Shut up you already know that their family is way richer than ours right? Besides after the wedding.
Noah: oh right.
Victor: Now shut up she's coming.
They didn't know that Teresa heard them clearly when she's almost at the altar she slapped Victor and ran off. She ran until she reaches her treehouse Juan saw her running and chased after her. When Juan climbed up she ask Teresa.
Juan: Teresa? What happened?
Teresa: Your brother is the devil he just wanted to marry me because of our family wealth.
Juan: Aren't you happy? Your not marrying my brother?
Teresa: Ofc I'm happy I'm very happy oh gosh I cant believe it *whipping her tear's*.
Juan: uhh weren't you just crying a second ago?
Teresa: it's was an act seeing if you comfort me, Juan? I have to tell you something I like you no I love you na.
Juan: uhh
Juan is speechless he thought that she didn't like him.
Teresa: It's ok if you don't like me.
Juan: What? No I loved you since we were a kid, I'm just shy to tell you I thought you just see's me as a friend.
Teresa: aww you dummy your so cute awwww
Juan: Teresa? Can I court you?
Teresa: of course!
A few days after the confession Juan stood beneath Eliana's window, guitar in hand, and began to sing
"Maria, ang aking puso'y sa'yo
Bakit ka nag-iisa, ang aking mahal?
Teresa 's window opened, and she smiled at Juan.
Juan's heart skipped a beat. Teresa, I want to show you my love.
Teresa: you already shown it Juan.
As the night ended, Juan said to Teresa " I love you Teresa until my last breath you will always be my love and Teresa whispered to Juan, "Juan, I love you too"
From then on, Juan and Teresa's love blossomed.
