Was it him?

Felix POV

I walked to my university, as I noticed the trees that were once green turn golden. I almost never could get used to the sight of such magnificence, even when I was in Korea I was always fascinated by the autumn trees, but this year was different. I was in a new country, and was starting a new chapter. Absolutely nothing could be more delightful than a thrilling adventure in a new country. In the US, of which where I was currently in, I made it my ultimate goal to make some new friends.

All throughout high school, I felt lonely in Korea. It wasn't as if I had any friends. It was more like, my friends didn't get me, and I didn't get them. We were polar opposites, but we still tried to make it work. The already volatile friendship broke when I chose my path here in the US. It was only about time that happened. I took a deep breathe as I entered the campus. I got settled in with my roommate yesterday, so there was no need to go back to check things. My only focus now, was to have normal human interactions.

As soon as I entered the lecture hall, I was astounded by it's size. It was twice as big as my old school, and I couldn't believe I was studying here. Then, something caught my eye, it was the figure of a young, yet handsome man. Who could it be? He was tall, skinny, and had really pale skin which made a contrast to his black hair. The most crucial detail that I noticed about him was his necklace. It was golden, with a pendent, which had a butterfly incorporated into it. The sight of it took me back into my memories of when I was 10. I made was having a delightful time reading, when I got a glimpse of a kid my age playing with some pebbles.

I wanted to go and talk to him, but I was too scared. "What are you looking at?" he suddenly said. Me, being a shy and timid child, ran away. After that day I went to the same spot again, but this time I was ready to talk to him. "Hi", I said as soon as I went up to him. "My name is Felix, do you want to be friends?" the boy looked at me puzzled, "I barely know you, but I'm willing to give it a try. I am Hyunjin." From that day on, a new beginning started for me, but that beginning had a quick end.

We became the best of friends but, when winter came, he had to leave Korea and move to the US. That is one of the many reasons I came back. "What are you looking at?" said a voice, waking me from my daydream, it was the handsome young man. "Nothing, sorry", I said in my very Korean accent. "Are you...Korean?" he asked hesitantly. I nodded, "How about you?" he also nodded. My hopes were getting higher, what if he was Hyunjin?

Hyunjin POV

I was taking a long, yet peaceful nap, when I saw an drop-dead gorgeous man in staring at me. I think that the word 'staring', would be an understatement, but I had to admit, I was loving it. I felt....comfortable in his presence, although he was staring into my soul. "Did you come recently?" I asked in a low tone. I didn't want to make him think I was interested whatsoever. I don't want to be the inferior one in this relationship, that is if I ever got into one with him. "Yes, you?" he asked me. I shook my head, "I was hear since I was young", I replied.

"Oh," he said. I was intoxicated by his Korean accent, which I sadly didn't posses. To my pleasant surprise, he sat right beside me. Looks like he was going to be easy. I 'accidentally' dropped my pen, and made sure to touch his hand as I received it from him. "Here you go", he said with a adorable smile. The smile almost made me feel bad about what I was going to do to him. Almost. But me, being stone-hearted, couldn't care less.

He was either going to be really easy, or really hard. If he is really hard, then looks like I found myself something interesting. He was a total baby, was it because he never got to experience such things like this? After the lesson, which I slept through, I went to talk to him, but I couldn't show that I cared too much, or else things will get complex. "Hi, did you take enough notes?" I asked him, in a monotone. I tried to sound as uninterested as possible, but it was a bit hard when he looked like a full-course meal.
