"I thoroughly enjoyed S. Darwish's writing. "The Deathman's Diary" is an intriguing collection of entries encompassing the universal life and death questions with which we all struggle. The narrator's voice is tremendously readable. While the ideas are profound and intriguing, the technical aspect of the storytelling can be awkwrd in places. I suspect it is due to the English translation. Minor things such as words used in unusual ways, or disagreement between verb tenses, can be easily ironed out with a skilled editor. The only reason I mention it is to encourage the author to continue writing and honing his craft. The ending to the story is perfect although I can think of a few ways it could be continued if the author chose to do so. Perhaps he will see fit to grace us with more entries in "The Deathman's Diary." Either way, it is a very enjoyable read. "

The Deathman’s Diary is perfect for readers who enjoy philosophical musings wrapped in eerie, suspenseful storytelling. Though not flawless, it stays with you long after the final story. "
