Summary

The story unfolds in Athens, where Cupid, the god of love, is tormented by his dark past and now shoots "black arrows," causing pain and obsession. Thalía, a determined young woman, discovers the chaos Cupid has created, especially affecting her friend Basilios, who is obsessively in love with an unattainable girl. She resolves to confront Cupid and put an end to the suffering. As Thalía investigates, she encounters other victims of Cupid's dark arrows—Daphne, a mother sacrificing her happiness for her children, and a couple consumed by jealousy. Moved by their stories, Thalía decides to face Cupid directly. In their meeting, Thalía challenges Cupid's distorted view of love and offers to help him rediscover its joy. Intrigued by her courage, Cupid takes her on a journey into his past, revealing how betrayal darkened his perception of love. Thalía guides him toward healing by showing him the beauty of genuine connections and helping others rebuild their lives. As Cupid witnesses the bond forming between Thalía and Leo, a young man who shares her struggles, he begins to change. Ultimately, he replaces his black arrows with golden ones that symbolize hope and love. This transformation marks a new beginning for both him and Thalía as they work together to heal hearts in Athens, leading to Cupid's redemption and the rebirth of true love among mortals.

Chapter 1: A Noise in the Dark

The night in Athens was dyed a deep blue, and the bright moon was the only witness to what was happening in the shadows. In a forgotten corner of the city, an elegantly dressed young man with dark hair combed back walked through the streets. It was Cupid, but not the tender Cupid of the legends. His gaze was full of melancholy and resentment. "Why should I continue to be the god of love?" he muttered to himself, tightly gripping the staff whose end was shaped like a heart. "Love only brings pain." Meanwhile, in the market square, a young woman named Thalía, known for her intelligence and kind heart, looked around. His best friend, Basilios, had fallen under the effects of a black arrow launched by Cupid. That day, he had lost control, obsessed by a girl who would never pay attention to him. "Why are you behaving like this, Thalía?" Basilios asked, distressed. "I can't stop thinking about her. It's like her image consumes me." "We must find out what is happening, Basilios," Thalía responded with determination. "It's not normal for you to feel this way. It's as if Cupid had released a dark arrow from his arsenal."
