A certain darkness is needed to see the stars.I read the quote above me on the ceiling, printed in florescent yellow letters. Its 3am., and the facility is eerily silent, dark and empty-much like my life has been since the incident. I let a long sigh and sat in my favourite spot . A cozy yellow sofa sits directly in front of the most valuable wall in this building,or any building, for that matter. I kept the book I was holding on the floor and gave all my attention to the precious wall. It holds photo frames of our patients who have passed on , each one a reminder of those we've lost over the years. The wall features over 50 frames, each with the name of the person displayed beneath it.Given the age of this facilty , its quite a large number. Solace care facility is a spacious three-story building constructed by Parkers and Sons ,designed to provide the best, most up-to-date hospice care service to the richest families here in Angel' Haven. Perfect place chosen for a hospice care facility. The place is surrounded by lush greenery. A large river flows nearby, with nothing but nature surrounding it.The facility spans three floors , with spacious , Air-conditioned rooms fully equipped to care for patients. It also includes numerous meeting rooms, libraries and staff accommodation. The walls are adorned with vintage style ,cream coloured floral wallpaper and lined with bookshelves. No Tvs , no mobile phones, just the way I preferred it .A beautiful place ,yet filled with such sorrowful stories. I focused my attention to the photo frames on the wall .There she is ,Luna Harrison. My first patient .She was a sweetheart . Tears started to well up in my eyes, so i stood upfrom the sofa and quietly walked to the bookshelves on the left side of the wall. The yellow lights from the wall shimmered in the bookshelves casting a glittering glow.I started searching for Luna Harrison's name . This bookshelves hold the stories of our patients, as shared by them and their families, written by the staff of the facility, with their pictures included to commemorate their journey. I found the name Luna Harrison ,pulled out the thick leather bound book and began reading. She is truly an inspirational woman. This has been my routine every day after my shift since I arrived here . I stopped reading when the room suddenly filled with bright yellow glow. I closed the book and turned to admire the breathtaking view through the window .The sun was rising to ful fill its duty tirelessly, just like every day. What a truly fascinating view.I glanced at the clock wall and hurried to my room to get ready for work and to meet my patient , Fiona Parker .
