chapter 1
It was friday and Vitan had a rough week, he decided to take a long drive from Bovec to wherever his car would take him, at an attempt to clear his head. On the road he couldn't help but admire the beautiful scenery passing by, with the wind blowing through his fluffy hair, making it almost perfect as he drives through the sun setting ever so slowly.
After what felt like more than an hour Vitan arrived at Lake Bled. It was a hot summer day in the town of Bled. Vitan walked around the park, searching for a spot of shade to sit under. "Hey" said a voice that was deep yet soft at the same time. "You're not from around here, are you?" the voice asked sounding closer.
Vitan turned his head in the direction where the sound was coming from and saw a pretty brown girl holding hands with a dirty blond haired guy, that he can only assume asked the question. "Uh- no" Vitan answered, looking at them confused. "Thought so, I don't recognize you." Said the blond guy, two feet away from him. "I'm Cvetko, this is Vera." He said pointing at her as she waved. "Vitan." He said, squinting his eyes in the wind.
Cvetko, across from him. "Which town are you here from?" He asked. "Bovec." Cvetko shocked by his answer, "what are you doing over here?" "I wanted to clear my head, so I came here." He replied. "I thought it would've helped." Vera bent down. "Did it?" She asked quietly. "Not really." He answered. "Oh." She replied even quieter.
Vitan had been going through alot ever since his parents got divorced months before summer break, with his mom turning to alcohol he had to get a job at the local grocery store to keep everything in place, while also having to care for his younger sister Julja, who could be a bit much at times.
"Hey, there's a party in Škofja Loka later tonight." Cvetko told him, breaking the silence between them. "If you wanna come with us, you can." Vera said finishing his sentence. "It might take your mind off things." Vitan thought about it for a moment. "alright." He said eventually. "Why not, right?" "Great! I'll text you the address?" Vera asked him as she stood up, intertwining her arm with Cvetko's. "Mhm." Vitan answered, smiling slightly. "See you then." Vera smiled back, before she walked off. "Wait! You don't have my number." He said hoping one of them would hear, but they were both too far gone.
