Chapter 1 - This Prince Will Be Lonely

The sun began to rise, its rays shinning though the curtain. A girl in her bed turned, and twisted, trying to stay asleep. A hurried maid entered the room, opening the curtains.

"Up, up, up! The queen said she would like you down at sunrise, you know that." The maid began to pick out a long elegant dress, with a white corset to go underneath. The dress was white, with gold sparkles on it. The dress had no sleeves, and was quite low cut. "You're going to be late, Ashley. Get up!"

Ashley turned, sitting up in bed. She let out a yawn, and streched. She took a look at the corset and dress.

"I'm not wearing that." Ashley groaned before getting pulled up.

"Yes, you are. Put your arms through this." The maid put her arms through the corset before tightening it. Ashley let out a gasp.

"Atleast let me breathe!" Ashley gasped out. "I beg of you, I don't need this!"

"The queen asked for it, so shush. You're meeting your future boyfriend! Don't you want to look your best? Aren't you excited?" The maid rambled on, and on, and on. The dress  being tossed over her head and zipped up. Then the maid tied in it a lovely bow. The maid was now onto how gorgeous the dress was and how she looked good.

"Time for your hair!" Ashley gulped, her hair was a mess and she knew it was going to hurt. The maid sat her down and brushed through it. It hurt so bad, tears began to fall down her cheeks. The maid braided some parts and then left some straight, then she put it up into a tight bun. The maid wiped her tears.

"What now?" Ashley groaned through her sniffly nose.

"Make-up, darling." Ashley sat down infront of the maid. She covered up her now pink nose, and cheeks. She curled her lashes and then applied some mascara.

Another maid ran up, yelling. "The first prince is here! The first prince is here!" When she burst through the door, she stood their stunned. "You're gorgeous! Come on!" She dragged Ashley down stairs, and sat her next to the queen. The queen gave her a smile. A boy walked in, wearing a suit that brought out his skinny yet strong figure.

"You are the son of King James, correct?" The queen said, smiling.

"Yes, Queen Anne." He said, bowing. "I am Adrian. I want to marry your daughter." Ashley let out a giggle, covering her face. She wasn't blushing, she was laughing at him.

"Oh really?" Queen Anne said, watching her daughter closely. "I already think your the one."

"What!" The daughter yelled, standing up. "No! No! I don't like him!" She screamed, the maids looked frightened, and the queen looked furious. The king stood up and showed Adrian around the castle.

"You will marry this boy, by the end of this week." Queen Anne said sternly. Ashley ran off crying, she ran up into her room. She slammed the door shut, it echoed in the hallway.

The sun began to already set, she had been stuck in her head for the whole day. She undressed, slipping on her hoodie and sweatpants. She also packed a bag, clothes, toothpaste, toothbrush, and a lot of money. She opened her window, the breeze escaping into the room. She began to climb out of it.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

jeannie2244: Such a different story from your usual love story. I love stories that aren't just a cookie cutter romance with the same story line and predictable. This is unlike any I have ever read and so nice to read something new and refreshing.
