Chapter 1
“Emerson!”my mom calls from downstairs,i run down the hall to the huge staircase and start going down the stairs,i run to the kitchen where my mom is,”yea?!?”my mom looks up form cutting tomatoes”the warners are coming over for dinner tonight go clean your room and bathroom.”i nod,”ok” then run upstairs and start cleaning and think about the warners coming over.
Then it hits me,i scream”wait”my mom laughs from the kitchen” there it is,3..2..1..!”like on que i scream”noooooooo!”realizing that Cole will be coming over.Cole is my enemy.Hes the worst!
I run back downstairs to my mom and say”Momm!!why does he have to comeee?!?why?!”my mom just laughs,laughs!”i honestly dont know why you have a problem with him Emerson!”she says”Go clean your room!”
I sigh and go back upstairs and start refreshing my bathroom with a new hand towel,new soap,and i organize my jewelry.Since i have my own bathroom it’s only my stuff thankfully,but mines the guest bathroom,so i have to make sure it super clean when people come over.
After i finish the bathroom i start cleaning my room,putting clothes in my walk in closet,organizing my vanity,bedside table,and bed.My room is huge and i have this cute hammock chair that hangs in a coner of the room where i have all my books,i have alot of books.
Once i finish cleaning my mom calls for a 5 minute warning,which means they will be here in 5 minutes i sigh and fall back on my bed and just scroll on tiktok for a few minutes,after 5 minutes hear the door open and all the warners come in most of them go into the living room to my brother and sister,Miles and Sky i here like three cone upstairs and down the hall to jacks room.
After about 15 minutes later i decide that moms probably gonna be awhile so i begin to draw,i start drawing a girl with roses coming out of her eyes and mouth,after about 1 hour i hear a knock at my door,i put my drawing on the table and go over to my door and open it,and see…Cole…”erm your mom sent me to come get you for dinner”he says looking me ul and down,and i realize im only wesring a tanktop and denim shorts,”oh shit”i mumble”ok ill change and be down there in a few minutes”cole nods “ok ill tell them”i close the door and run to my door of my closet
I grab some leggings and a grey hoodie with a drawing design i did awhile back,and put ot on and grab nike socks and put them on,brush my hair real quick,and then grab my phone and run downstairs.
I walk to the kitchen and see everyone getting food,mom made homemade pizza,shes a great cook,”hey honey,grab some food”my mom says i was just about to decline and just grab and apple but she shakes her head”no emerson not again you’ve already skipped 5 day of food you need to eat”Coles head pops up to look at me,i glance over at him but look back at my mom “but!”i complain”no buts emerson eat!”i sigh and grab a plate and get a slice of pizza.
even tho im about to throw it up lets eat.i havent told my mom about my ED and self harm yet i have to tell her soon, i finish quickly and put mu plate in the sink and walk upstairs, to my bathroom, I crouch over the toilet and start gagging myself and throw up the pizza.once im done i flush it and clean my face and go back to my room
Im starled as i walk in ,shen i see cole on my bed staring at me,was he there the whole time?did he hear me throwing up?why is he in here?i thought i locked the door!
