Summary

"A non-believer's journey to a non-sensical place... " Adam, a hater of all fantasy is assigned to make a report of a rumored 'Haunted' lake, for his journalism job. He makes his way there and as of cliche ways, there is a full moon during his reportage. But, the moonlight makes a portal onto the lake and he is sucked into a vast fantasy world called: Neola. Adam takes a journey of a lifetime that every fantasy reader would dream of, but ironically he doesn't like fantasy... Nonetheless, he is adored in Neola since he is uncannily similar to the long-dead creator called 'The Maker', the only one who wielded all Neolan powers. Now, Adam must get used to this fantasy world if he wants to get home and joins forces with an impulsive and stoic prince, the prince's psychotic ex (that is ironically the leader of a rebel group), her companion a wannabe bad boy anthropomorphic werewolf that sucks at staying quiet and an old mentor book that gives out very misguiding instructions, all while trying to dot the lines of The Maker's murder and finding out who killed him and why...

Chapter I: Prologue of prolongs

[Edited to The Maker's liking]

Since ancient times, the world of Neola was the place for fantasy, Kingdoms, Magic and such, some ruled like religions, others like cults.

There were five elements, five kingdoms, and one person who could rule them all. The Pyara Kingdom was where fire could be found anywhere. Since the Kingdom was underground, most were sent there if they had not been as nice or kind to others during their life. It was hell but they made it work with a popular culture.

Moving along more towards the Eastside Sea were the flexible and fierce water currents of The Aquentic Kingdom, an underwater Kingdom that represented. well, the water element, the kingdom looked more like a city!

At the south of the realm, you could see The Floating Isles. Multiple Isles float dazzling with fresh invisible waves in the sky to represent the air element, that they pride themselves on. No one knows how the Isleans get up or down. Or even around!

A tad bit north of The Floating Isles, is a down-to-earth and grounded kingdom that represents the ground element. That Kingdom is named: The Terrenet Kingdom. Not much to say there.

Far more west is the creative part of Neola, a sensible and Psychological place named The Espitude Kingdom, The ground was made of anything! Matter, liquid, and gas. It's a bit confusing just like one's dreams. If you can't tell, their representative element is spirit.

But, the famous and glorious god, A man that sold his world, to create Neola. The Maker. The only person that can use all of the elements at the tip of his five fingers. He was a powerful prophet, he put anyone in their place if they dared to defy him.

Yet, someone was fueled with hunger for power, riches, and praise.

Everything was in place, it was The Day Of Aulium, and to commemorate the birth of a realm, All rulers of each Kingdom were invited to The Maker's feast that was held each Day of Aulium. During the feast, he was offered a drink, and the next minute, He had bubbly foam on his mouth and his eyes no longer oozed with hubris life. The Maker was dead.

Since then, Neola has been at constant war. Each kingdom heartlessly killed and raged war. The shiny blinding light title of "The Maker" was driving everyone mad. The Aquentic and Pyara kingdoms were the best of leadership and friends, but now even one side eye to each other and blood is spilled with magic essence.

The Espitude kingdom was in shambling ruins, instead of the usual paradise that only one can dream of.

The Floating Isles were still floating thankfully, floating upside down. The gravitation was as if the Isles were still straight up because of the extensive air created by the Aquentic army and their battles with the Pyara army. The Floating Isles was floating as tall as the tip of a skyscraper instead of floating as tall as a billboard.

Both The Pyara and Aquentic Kingdoms were at war but they had a common enemy that they wanted to eliminate, The Terrenet Kingdom.

Both Kingdoms wanted to spill magic and blood with the Terrenet kingdom. Accusing them of drugging The Maker and for their neutrality on The Maker's death.

Over at The Terrent Kingdom, King Luxers hopelessly tries to remain stoic but he is stressed out and scared, wondering if Neola would still be Neola after the chaos.

If his son, Prince Maxwell would still be alive or if he was going to join his mother in another life.

King Luxers could only close his eyes, and breathe in.. and breathe out.

Asking himself "Will there ever be another Maker?" He stood up, his hands on the table helping him maintain balance and equilibrium.

He wiped his watery eyes after he heard the door opening. He tilted his head back to see who came in, and he saw his young son running up to him hugging his torso. He could only reach low because of his young age.

"What is the matter, Max?" King Luxers asks with comforting warmth to his son.

Prince Maxwell looks up, his sage green pupils begging for attention and comfort.

"I-I miss mommy..." Prince Maxwell expresses.

It makes King Luxers emotional and he tries to hold in the tears, that he wants to shed so badly. His elve ears turn red, contradicting his ivory skin. King Luxers does not want to burden anyone and certainly not his son.

So, he picks him up and cradles the 7-year-old; Father and son tread towards the balcony.

King Luxers looks up taking in the beauty of a starry night, filled with smoke clouds and a half-lit moon that illuminates shyly. King Luxers searches deep within himself to speak meaningful words.

Words he can use to quote to his son.

"Maxwell, son, look up at the night sky." Prince Maxwell looked up, his childish eyes reflecting the beauty of the night.

"Daytime, nighttime, or in between, Mom is still with us, looking upon us. She will always be next to us no matter how far or close. She will be with us like the moon clouds or sunny sky.."
