Love? Truthfully i couldn’t tell you what it is. I think that’s a question nobody truly is able to answer. It’s so twisted and convoluted. But i can tell you what it isn’t.
It’s not a 11 year old girl finding love for the first time and getting fantasized over for her body for the next year. It’s being controlled and manipulated for that year. It’s not being seen as a trophy.
And it’s not getting cheated on by the one person you truly love more than yourself at 13. it’s not having someone betray you and leaving a child wondering what their purpose is in life. it’s not leaving a 13 year old girl hating herself after she gave everything.
It’s not a 15 year old girl being over-sexualized again and constantly ask to be seen naked. while controlling aspect of her life. it’s not switching how you love her halfway through once you feel it’s safe.
And i know for damn sure it’s nothing like what our generation has been one. God i can’t wait to see what 16 brings.
