Considerations.
Hello, thank you so much for your interest in reading my first work on a theme I truly love: fantasy.
Please note that English is not my first language, and this book is being translated. I hope there aren’t too many mistakes, but if there are, I sincerely apologize.
Before we begin, I’d like to clarify a few things that might raise questions later on.
First, although this is a story with kingdoms, it doesn’t necessarily take place in a medieval era. Also, please don’t try to find historical accuracy based on what we know of our world’s past, as this book is set in an alternate reality where some facts are similar and others are not. I made this choice to allow myself the creative freedom to add whatever I felt would enrich the story, without being bound by questions like, “But was it really like that in the past?” I truly hope you won’t be disappointed by this decision and that you’ll enjoy the story to its fullest. After all, it would be ironic to expect logic and fidelity to reality in a book about enchanted kingdoms and magic.
Additionally, I think it’s important to emphasize that each kingdom in this world has its own beliefs, customs, and principles. You’ll spend most of your time in the kingdom of Arvoria, but please don’t confine the entire world to just this one place. I’ll do my best to briefly introduce other kingdoms, as I know you might grow curious about them.
As I mentioned earlier, this is my first book, so I kindly ask for your feedback on my chapters. Your comments will motivate me and reassure me that the countless hours I dedicate to writing and revising are worth it—sometimes I rewrite the same chapter more than three times before approving it.
The story is 100% original unless, by coincidence, something similar exists somewhere in a language I neither know nor speak. That said, I’d like to make it clear that I do not permit translation or adaptation without prior permission, though I doubt anyone would go to such lengths.
I’ll do my best to ensure the reading experience is smooth, immersive, and engaging so that you can enjoy every paragraph with ease. Please let me know if I’m succeeding in this goal.
The story may contain some mistakes, as I’m the only one revising it, and sometimes things slip through, but I’m constantly correcting imperfections.
Regarding updates, I’ll post the first five chapters as a preview and then update the book periodically. If all goes well, I’ll aim for one or two updates per week, but this will depend on the reception from readers and, of course, my creativity, which isn’t infinite.
Above all, I hope this work captures your heart from beginning to end and that, by the time you finish the last chapter, you feel satisfied for having given it a chance.
