Falling in love
Our days were filled with laughter and discovery. We shared jokes, dreams, and ambitions, building a life together in those small, everyday moments. He showed me how to enjoy the simple things: bus rides, silly conversations, walks where we’d laugh at anything that caught our eye. The world felt brighter with him in it.
One day, we went out and bought a bowl of hotdog sausages, some bread. It was a silly and spontaneous moment, slightly embarrassing, but it brought us closer. We laughed, teased each other, and just enjoyed the thrill of doing something ridiculous together. It became a cherished memory, one of many. We painted together, went to the cinema, and explored new places on casual dates that never failed to make me smile.
With him, I didn’t feel like a stranger. He welcomed me into his world, sharing stories and encouraging me to pursue my dreams. He was a Jehovah’s Witness, something he shared openly, and although I hadn’t thought much about religious differences, I told him I’d consider becoming one as well. It was a promise I made to keep him close, even if it wasn’t entirely honest with myself.
