Fallen Angel (18+)
18+ Mature Audience Only.

The faint call of a distant hummingbird pierced the air, blending with the symphony of the forest. Khushi stirred, her senses alive as the rain-soaked earth released a rich medley of scents.
Her pointed ears twitched, a lone fox meandered its way down the hill, its deft paws avoiding the copses. She surveyed its progress as it came to pause by the tree she was perched at. The fox raised its head, sniffing the air - it was wondrous how wild animals could pick up on demons while humans remained so blissfully unaware.
If only the fox knew that it was in no danger from her, it’s only humans who should be wary...
Demons were fallen angels, exiled beings from the Empyrean that tampered with the human realm. She was wronged a century ago - placing her trust in an angel that ultimately stabbed her wings. She ruffled them in agitation as the long lost memories made an appearance, a few violet feathers fell away.
If she were accused of being a sinner, she took on the role with vengeance. For a century, she roamed the earth, protecting the natural resources, destroying the greed filled notions of humanity. This forest was her home now, high up in the mountains, there is not a single soul who can rip a limb off the fauna under her vigilance.
Khushi’s claws tightened on the branch with anticipation, her wild hair rustling in the evening breeze. She waited with patience befitting her kind.
For weeks, she had followed a group of men visiting her home, she understood enough of the human industrial lingo. An inconsequential man had purchased these lands, and was in talks of cutting down the trees and converting her domicile into a landfill of decimation.
She will not allow it.
Khushi had left the inessential minions pass, they were after all, following orders. She vehemently believed in her fairness. Her real focus was on the man leading the effort, he was to arrive at any moment.
Her sensitive ears picked up on the roar of an engine drawing nearer, she smiled - the need for carnage taking control. This man would pay for his sins.
A large white automobile cruised into her view, its tires squealing against the muddy rain soaked path. It stopped at the base of the hill, and the man in question stepped out.
Khushi’s breath hitched, a low flutter of apprehension seeped through her veins. He was somehow familiar - she was sure they hadn’t crossed paths before, and yet - the stature, the regal bearing, it reminded her of someone from her past...was he perhaps the unfortunate offspring of a forefather she had threatened, consumed?
The man stepped forward, he was almost about to enter the forest when his head whipped around to detect the lone fox by her tree. His shoulders relaxed to an extent as the fox took flight.
Khushi couldn’t help but want to confront him, she was never one to enjoy causing pain - it was always clean, fast, a caress of whispering death. The men she had destroyed never saw her coming.
She deliberately rustled her wings, and sure enough - his gaze traveled up the tree, and he went rigid.
Khushi smiled, exposing one of her fangs, enjoying the moment - she sniffed quietly but was surprised to not detect any hint of fear in him. She frowned slightly as he took his sunglasses off.
Khushi’s smile faltered, his wide brown eyes captivated her, their rich, earthy hues reminding her of the warm tones of the forest floor - steady, and grounded in nature’s beauty.
She shook her head infinitesimally, with a flourish, she glided down the tree and landed in front of him. He didn’t flinch, nor did he make any move to escape. His intense gaze locked onto hers, surprise and wariness emitting off him.
“You do not run, human?” she whispered. His shoulders twitched - she had known of the effects the voice of a demon had on humans, she stepped closer and circled him.
“Am I going to die?” he asked, still, there was no trace of fear, but a sublime, almost morbid curiosity in his stance. His honeyed voice sent a tremor down her spine.
“That depends...” she said mysteriously and turned to face him.
He waited, his intense gaze boring into hers. A slow thrum of magic began to weave around them, she was close to her declaration, and yet she didn’t find it in her to hurt the man. The idea of his existence being obliterated from this earth seemed...almost unbearable, she wondered at that.
“I am going to give you a choice...give up this forest and all its rights, take your greed filled carnage with you, and you can walk away with your life intact.”
The man surveyed her silently, and she could see his mind working as she smiled, baring both her fangs. His gaze lingered on her lips for a fraction of a second before he looked into her eyes.
“I make deals and contracts for a living,” he began steadily. She grudgingly admired his bravery at the face of near death. She was under no obligation to preserve his life, he must know that and yet...
“How can I ascertain that you will hold the end of the bargain,” he wondered aloud. “The moment my back is turned-”
Khushi let out a tinkling laugh that echoed around the forest, she saw him convulse slightly. Enjoying the effect she had on him, she continued, “Demons don’t make ephemeral promises like humans. It will be a deal, a binding magical contract - that holds true to every word.”
“Let’s hear it,” he said, the commanding tone of his voice wiped the smirk clean off her face. This human dares...
“The forest remains intact, and you get to walk away. But if there’s any encroachment, any sign of insidious pursuits from you or your descendants - then you lose your life. Trust me, the magic will take care of it. I won’t need to be around to watch as you, or your bloodline, meet their end.”
He considered her silently, his jaw working as his eyes narrowed. “Deal,” he said finally.
Khushi smiled, the air around them swiveled, rustling the leaves as the magic took control - he gasped as they both spasmed with the weight of the contract binding them for all of time.
Khushi let out a slow breath and opened her eyes. The man clenched and unclenched his fists, rubbing a hand across his chest, she had felt the same swooping sensation in hers.
“You are free to leave,” she said, watching as her words slowly registered with him. He remained unmoving, and her eyes widened when he slipped his hands into his pockets, gazing back at her with an unmistakable air of nonchalance.
“What are the terms of the contract if you, as the caster, are wrong?”
Khushi stared back puzzled, she spoke the words without a second thought, “Then I am bound to your servitude for the rest of your human years - the ultimate price for falsely invoking the binding treaty.”
A thrill of trepidation shot through her as his lips slowly curled into a smile. He took a step closer toward her.
In all her life roaming this earth, she had never once felt intimidated by any human and yet...
“I sold this piece of land early this morning,” he said. “You should’ve waited for the rightful owner to arrive the following day. So very hasty of you...”
“W-what?” Khushi repeated, she couldn’t help but take a step back as he advanced slowly. His eyes glowed in the setting sun, almost predatory - it sent a thrill of fear down her spine, humans couldn’t do that!
Another step, and his face hit the twinkling lights from the city. She let out a small sigh of relief - the eyes, wondrous in its earthy tones - were human after all, though the intensity unnerved her.
Khushi’s back hit the railing lining the perimeter of the forest, she tore her gaze away to gauge her footing - her demonic instincts seem to fail her. She gasped when he was almost upon her. His hands rested against the railing, encasing her form. He didn’t touch her, but his closeness warmed her body like a furnace.
“Why step away, aren’t you in my servitude now,” he whispered, his hot breath fanning her cheek. “To do as I please?”
“I- well -,” Khushi’s voice shook as words failed her, which seemed to invoke a triumphant glint in his eyes.
“Yes,” stressed the man - his nose trailed her jawline without making contact, sending a tremor down her spine. “A deal is a deal, it’s time you pay the price.”
Khushi gasped as he captured her lips with his mouth. His hands were on her waist before she could gather her scattered thoughts, the light demon outfit barely covered her body. His hands roamed the unfamiliar clothing, finding an opening with ease.
In her time on earth - she had thwarted advances, never indulged in the world of pleasure - whether demon or human. Her mind couldn’t help but appraise him, unable to conclude as to why her body relented to his, surrendering to the lust that had been buried deep within her soul from her days at the Empyrean.
A quick tug to her right wing made her whimper, his tongue swiftly took the opportunity to invade her mouth. Khushi’s body thrummed with electricity. Sensations long forgotten, coursed through her veins - her rationality failed, firmly believing this human had some sinister magic in his soul.
A fog began to form around them, it was an involuntary response of her heat and desire drawing up a cloud, shielding them from demon and human eyes alike. His hand roamed her front and palmed her breast roughly.
Khushi moaned, her feet automatically leaving the ground as she floated into the air. Encasing them both in her wings, she trapped his face in her hands and angled his neck upward to deepen the kiss.
His arms encircled her waist, crushing her to him - making her wings flutter and lay dormant as she surrendered her weight to him. She nipped his lip and was abruptly dropped to her feet, her eyes fluttered open as he cradled her limp form against his chest.
His hand slid past her neck and raised her chin to gaze into his eyes, she shivered at the look of feral intensity in those caramel tones. Making sure he had her full attention, he slipped his hand down her waistline and thrust a finger into her core.
Her answering cry was drowned in his mouth. He prized her bottom lip open with his thumb and sucked her tongue, in line with the relentless plunges to her core. He slid in another finger and she moaned, her hands tightening on his shoulders - a long lost ache filling her nether lips.
He withdrew and with one wild tug, her outfit joined the dirt - leaving her pearly form naked to the world. His gaze swept over her body, his face resembling a ravenous beast deprived for far too long, leaving her shivering with anticipation.
His large hands roamed to squeeze her bottom and lifted her hips in one swift move, pushing her onto the railing. Khushi had never felt so open, so vulnerable as she wrapped her legs around his waist.
His hips moved against her, seeking friction - her groan was eclipsed by his, sending a thrill shooting through her stomach. She tugged his hair to hear more of him, he relented with a growl.
Suddenly his arms disappeared, her spine arched backward as her wings automatically unfurled to keep her afloat. His hands caught her knees just in time and held her in place. Before she could gather her bearings, his tongue slid into her core.
Khushi mewled, the sound ripping through her throat - she felt the man shudder at the ethereal carillon. The fog thickened around them, ensuring that no male demon was drawn to the sound of her mating call.
She felt his fingers plunge into her core as his tongue worked her slit. The other hand palmed the swell of her hip, leaving welts in the flesh - her healing power instantly soothed the stings only to leave intense pleasure behind.
Khushi’s fingers twisted in his hair, urging him on as she rode his fingers. Warmth bloomed in the pit of her stomach as the beginnings of her release spread throughout her body. One twist of his wrist and she came with a cry that rang across the silent rainforest.
She heard the click of a buckle opening as her knees slid off his form. Her half open eyes took in the twilit sky as she panted against the waves of aftershocks still thrumming in her veins. She felt a slick warmth against her core and snapped her head up to find his member stationed at her entrance.
Her wings automatically worked to raise her spine upward as she straightened. Periwinkle against caramel gold, they held each other’s gaze for a fraction of a second, before he slammed into her.
Khushi cried out, her insides clenching around the delicious intrusion. Her arms wrapped around his neck and seized his hair, fisting the thick locks as she took in the steady plunges.
She moaned with every thrust, throwing her head back. His teeth grazed her nipple while his hand roughly palmed the other, causing waves of pleasure to erupt in her core.
Khushi mewled again, this time, her call was so strong that the fog nearly engulfed them. His hands on her waist tightened in a chokehold. She felt him shudder and suddenly his member expanded in her core.
Khushi eyes flew open in shock as his suit began to rip away - dark, midnight blue wings burst out of his shoulder blades. The smooth skin on his chest bunched and rippled, to be replaced by ridges - russet in color with a hint of the previous amber hue. His hair extended to his shoulders, waving in the tempest surrounding them. He began levitating them off the ground - she gasped as he opened his eyes.
“Prince Arnav”,the banished royal!
The whisper escaped her in horror as his transformation was complete. His eyes were crimson, almost molten - the slit pupils reflecting the desolate fires of hell.
His wings gave one final flourish, swirling Khushi’s hair from the powerful gust. Realization came crashing on her - the mating call had been for him all along!
She had a moment’s notice to gather her scattered thoughts before Prince Arnav drove further into her core. She cried out as the ridges on his true form sent a tremor down her spine.
His hands roamed her back and closed on the joints holding her wings in place. He used it as an anchor to plough into her incessantly. Khushi’s shock soon dissolved into an overdrive of passion, overwhelming her mind at the discovery of her mate.
Prince Arnav let out a feral growl, brandishing his fangs - he slammed into her with one final twist and they became undone - her shriek of release sent the birds in the arena to erupt from the peaks of the forest.
Khushi felt her insides twinge around his throbbing member, he nuzzled the nape of her neck as they touched down, barely making any sound as he landed with her in arms, almost like a shadow.
She felt bands of thick smoke engulf her as a new aquamarine gown swathed her form - materializing from thin air. Prince Arnav set her down, his eyes boring into hers.
Khushi’s wide eyes took in his immense size. Now that her fervor had simmered down, she took a hasty step away. She fought the urge to escape, mate or not, her primal instincts in the presence of another demon was overwhelming.
Khushi tore her gaze from him and sought an exit; it would take her three bounds to leap into the air and escape through the rain forest.
As though he could read her thoughts, his clawed hand slammed into the railing next to her with a resounding clang, like metal on metal. She flinched as he drew closer to her.
“What is your name?”
The timbre of his voice resonated with the authority inherent in his birthright; here was a being unfamiliar with insubordination. Khushi glanced up, fighting the sting in her eyes.
“K-Khushi, your highness.”
He whispered her name, it sent a low swoop in her belly - despite her fear, the thrum of their previous energy came fluttering back to her. Khushi’s lips parted with a tremble as his gaze roamed over her face.
“You’re coming with me, Khushi.”
She didn’t get a chance to respond as he hooked a muscled arm under her knees and hoisted her up. She clutched his neck, her skin rubbing deliciously against his ridged shoulders. She could almost feel him shudder as his arms tightened around her. He paused for a moment, his lips seemed to seek hers, their breaths mingled - anticipation curled her toes when a cry ripped through her throat.
Prince Arnav had suddenly taken flight - the swiftness took her breath away. She had always enjoyed flying, often cruising the tree tops in her spare time. This was something she had ever experienced before, the speed was overwhelming. The wind sliced at her skin, she moaned and dug her face into his neck to protect herself from the onslaught.
She thought she heard him whisper in her ear, but the wind’s roar drowned out everything else. A small part of her mind questioned her plight, yet the arms encasing her made her feel strangely safe as she clung on.
Khushi had heard of the young prince’s dangerous escapades, but never in her wildest dreams did she imagine he would encounter her on an entrapment mission, and in human guise no less.
She tentatively peeked from under his chin and gasped. They had teleported into the royal territory, the banished lands. They cruised over his castle expanding endlessly beneath them. She had only ever seen it from afar, never possessing the nerve or desire to venture closer.
Khushi felt them slowing down as the westernmost tower loomed closer. With one powerful maneuver, he landed on a large patio overlooking the rainforest. They were so high up that even the gigantic trees below seemed dwarfed by their height.
Prince Arnav’s hands slackened as he lowered her to her feet. Khushi worked hard to gather her bearings, peeling her eyes away from the finery to focus on her captor.
His pointed ears twitched as he surveyed her, Khushi couldn’t help but clench her fist against her chest, drawing herself in. He let out a low growl of amusement and turned away from her.
Prince Arnav walked up to an ornate table and poured himself a goblet of wine. He leaned against the desk and gazed at her steadily, a raw hunger swirling in those molten red eyes.
“You are not a prisoner, my sweet,” he rumbled. Khushi squirmed under his scrutiny, disbelieving.
“T-then why am I here,” managed Khushi.
Prince Arnav cocked his head to the side and considered her. “I’ll make you a deal - call it an exchange - since you spared my human guise, I’ll extend the same favor in return.”
“Are you aware that there is an arrest warrant out on your name?”
Khushi’s mind raced, she was well aware that her antics with mankind wouldn’t go unnoticed - but what laws of the ethereal realm played in the human world?
“I can see you’re catching on,” Prince Arnav said with a smirk. “As you’ve already guessed, I govern the human realm. Surrendering Empyrean convicts reduces my banishment sentence to a certain degree.”
“The wretched beings here are always so desperate for self-destruction. While you’ve been thwarting their expansion, I’ve sought balance: the good and the bad and there lies my triumph.”
Prince Arnav waved his hand, conjuring a scroll out of thin air. He unwrapped it and dipped a large feather quill into an ink bottle. The sound of the quill scratching against the parchment echoed in Khushi’s ears, a grim signal of her impending doom.
He approached her, stopping within arm’s reach, and handed her the parchment. His gaze locked on hers, unwavering.
Khushi accepted the open scroll with shaking hands and read through the fine print, her eyes widening with each line. She looked up, shocked.
“Let me rephrase,” he whispered. “Spend the night with me, and your arrest warrant will be revoked.”
“Refuse to sign,” muttered Prince Arnav. The quill’s tail end brushed her arm and her waist as he walked around her in a circle. “And you are left with no choice but to undo the magic you have cast on all those lowly men and their descendants from the past century.”
Khushi blinked, a pool of anger began to bubble deep within her soul. She spun around and glared up at him. “No,” she yelled, her fists clenched and shaking. “They got what they deserved! How dare they defile these lands and to think you support-”
“I wish half my court was as passionate as you,” interjected Prince Arnav, smiling pensively. He raised the quill and held it up to her eye level. “What is it going to be? It’s your decision.”
She glanced back at the scroll, she swallowed as the treacherous quill began its journey from her fingers to her wrists - she couldn’t help but stare at his muscled forearm, textured with ridges that felt so heavenly against her skin.
Khushi gazed up, meeting his eyes. Her curiosity piqued - if his human guise could have that effect on her, then what would it be like to surrender to his true form...
With a shaking hand, she took the quill from his slackened grip and signed the parchment in scarlet ink. Her signature barely dried when the scroll and the quill disappeared from her hands.
“Good choice.”
It was the last thing she heard before Prince Arnav’s arm coiled around her waist, pulling her flush against his chest. Khushi gasped as she thudded against him.
“The contract revoked your warrant,” he rumbled in her ear. “But after tonight, the spell you cast still remains intact, little birdie. Remind me again, what are the consequences of invoking an enchantment incorrectly?”
“I am bound to your servitude for the rest of your human years,” whispered Khushi.
“Ah, the key word being ‘human’. As you know, I’m no man, Khushi.”
Khushi’s eyes widened as the truth slowly registered.
“Thereby, I have no intention of letting you go.”
Prince Arnav’s wings began to envelop them both, beckoning her into the mysterious shadows.
“My mate, my Khushi, for all of eternity.”
——Note——
Dang, that got dark real fast—thanks for diving headfirst into this oasis of plot holes, one of my laziest musings yet.
I had originally written an entire kingdom, Khushi joins his court and so on. Maybe I might pen it as a separate piece, only time will tell.
