There was a famous investigator named Zhongli he was investigating an old mansion., Ningguang, its wealthy owner, vanished without warning. Zhongli quickly began his investigation.
As he entered the old mansion, he noticed an eerie silence. The air was thick with the scent of old books.
Zhongli searched around she found Ningguang’s room he headed straight to Ningguang’s room, he looked around the room and realized it was Ningguang’s studies.
As he looked in the mirror she noticed there was a cryptic message : “They’re watching.” Zhongli’s eyes narrowed. Who wrote this?
He searched Ningguang’s room, he found a bookshelf she checked behind it and he found a safe hidden.
Zhongli tried a few combination but couldn’t unlock the safe he then tried Ningguang’s birthdate.
He opened it inside, Zhongli discovered: Incriminating documents, A recording: Ningguang’s voice, warning of danger, And a hidden key.
The key unlocked a secret room. Zhongli found a journal belonging to Ningguang:
“I’m trapped. My business partner’s betrayal will destroy me. Meet me at the old oak at midnight.”
Zhongli realized Ningguang’s disappearance wasn’t random. It was planned. He was puzzled who would plan to kidnap Ningguang.
At midnight, Zhongli went to the old oak. A figure emerged. It was Katheryne, a local journalist.
“I know what happened to Ningguang,” Katheryne said. “His business partner, Keqing, manipulated her wife, Beidou, into killing her.”
Zhongli’s eyes widened. “Why?”
“Revenge,” Katheryne replied. ”Keqing was Ningguang’s servant.”
Zhongli arrested Keqing and Beidoi. Ningguang’s body was still missing.
Katheryne said “But the body is still missing”.
Zhongli called his “step-son”, Xiao, “Xiao can help with finding Ningguang’s body” Zhongli replied.
Xiao went off to find Ningguang’s body.
A few days past
Xiao returned with news where the body could be. “Where’s the location?” Zhongli asked.
“It’s in Sumeru.” Xiao replied.
They went to Sumeru to locate Ninggaung’s body Xiao gave Zhongli and Katheryne a map before leaving.
They went to the location marked on the map he saw mysterious creatures lurking in the shadows.
One of them leaped to Zhongli, Zhongli reacted in time and used a skill he learned., One creature talked and said “Oh Morax it’s been so long since I’ve seen you..”
“What does he mean by that…?” Katheryne asked Zhongli remained silent.
Zhongli summoned a meteor and the creature that leaped at him turned to stone and shattered, leaving Katheryne stunned.
They continued walking to the marked spot in the map.
They finally arrived to their destination. There was a door, they entered it and inside it they we’re in the sky.
“Where are we?” Katheryne asked “We’re in a domain” Zhongli replied. “How do we reach the other side?” Katheryne asked. “Use the platforms” Zhongli replied.
After crossing a lot of platforms they meet a locked door with some pillars.
“How do we open this door?” Katheryne asked, “Let me handle this” Zhongli answered.
Zhongli lit up the pillars with some of his elemental skills., after lighting up all the pillars the big locked door unlocked and they went inside.
When they got inside Katheryne asked “How did you do that…?” Zhongli replied “Do what?” Katheryne answered “The turning mysterious creatures to stone the lighting up the pillars with elemental skills?” Zhongli answered for the last time “There is a lot you don’t know…”
Infront of them was Ningguang’s body. They carried the body from Sumeru all the way to Natlan.
Zhongli asked the natlan archon, Mauvika, if she could revive Ningguang. “Sure, But it’ll cost you some mora” Zhongli agreed.
Zhongli asked if he could have a moment and called Tartaglia, his husband, and asked if he could borrow some mora from him. Fortunately Tartaglia agreed.
Tartaglia sent him the mora and after a few hours the mora arrived.
Zhongli gave Mauvika the mora she asked for and Mauvika asked to put Ningguang in the revival flame to revive Ningguang. Zhongli and Katheryn placed Ningguang in the revival flame, Mauvika then recited an ancient language and Ningguang was revived.
And the investigation was solved. And Zhongli returned back to Liyue and asked for 1,000,000 Mora but his boss asks him for two more task to do before he gives him his mora.
"Fine, I'll do it but only if you increase it to 3,000,000 mora" Zhongli replied.
His boss took a few minutes of thinking before saying "yes".
