"NIGHTMARE"

A roaring sound of sobbing and yelling fills the room, and a heat of rage fills her body. The tiny bulb can't suppress the darkness in the room; on the contrary, it deepens the sadness and misery in the surroundings. She felt the shivering sensation all over her body while she was shouting; she could feel the dark energy bursting out from her. Four people were in the room: an elderly woman and a man, a silhouette of a guy of around 21 years old, and a girl herself. The man was grabbing her by the hand and trying to drag her out of the room. He wanted to take her with him, but she was constantly resisting. She was using all her strength to loosen the grip of his hand. She was screaming so badly that she didn't want to go. A woman beside her was crying and begging to leave her, but she was helpless. A woman tried to help, but the man pushed her away. A silhouette of a guy had tears in his eyes, but he was unable to do anything, standing in the corner helplessly. A girl was trying hard to save herself, for a mere moment, she succeeded in making herself free and ran towards the other room. Just at the moment, she was locking the door, the man rushed towards her from the other side and kicked the door wide open. The girl was frightened, her heart was pounding heavily in her chest, and she could hear her heartbeat in her ears. The man has a wicked smile on his face, his smile has a sense of victory, like he achieved what he wanted. The girl starts to back out slowly, her trembling steps moving backwards, while moving backwards, she collides with a table, the flower vase on the top of the table falls on the ground, and the pieces of glass are scattered in front of her. While looking at those scattered pieces, she realizes that her steps are over and she leans against the wall. Now the man started to move towards her step by step slowly with a cruel grin on his face, the girl's eyes were welling up with tears, and with her wet eyes, she aimlessly stared at the glass pieces shattered on the floor. She started to lose her senses with each step the man took. She knows that this is the end. In this helpless moment, the most unsettling and uncanny thing happened, in the blink of an eye, the girl reached out for one of the shattered glass pieces scattered on the floor. She picked it up and aimed it towards her wrist, and started to threaten the man that if he came closer, then she would cut her wrist. She said this with a mild hope in her heart or maybe she was assured that the man didn't want her to be dead at any cost perhaps it was her last faith or belief towards the relationship she had with that man, but certainly it was because of their relation that she believes that the man intention was only to take her with him and not to kill her. She had full confidence that the man would back off, but the bubble of her delusion burst when the man said, " I don't care if you die in front of me". These words hit her chest like poisoned arrows, she couldn't believe what she heard. The mild hope in her innocent heart dies in front of her, and this is when it happens she pointlessly starts to cut her wrist, and as she cuts her hand, the man encourages her with an evil laugh and repeatedly says Yes, do it! Do it! Die! Die! I want you to die. She cut multiple places on her arms, and both hands were filled with horizontal and vertical cuts. The blood was splashing all over the walls and on the floor. She was feeling intense pain, but couldn't tell if it was because of cuts or because of her bursting delusion, she could feel the draining sensation in her body. Her body starts to get numb. She fell to the ground. The elderly woman rushes towards her, holding her head in her lap and screaming her name, sobbing her heart out. The woman's tears fell down the girl's face. The girl's body is becoming colder and colder, and her vision starts to get blurred. The man was standing in front of her with a devilish grin on his face, She could see through her blurry gaze how delighted the man felt at the moment. The girl was getting all pale as every drop of blood was draining. It was now the moment when she could cease to die anytime soon. In this last awry moment, she locked her blurry gaze on the guy's silhouette and smiled towards him. Her eyes are starting to close, and she talks in her mind, "Now it's time... now it all ends..., now we'll finally meet." She closes her eyes with a last look at the silhouette. Now all she could see was darkness and a murmuring, distant voice. Is this the afterlife, or is it what we call death? The murmuring distant voice is now getting closer and closer the voice becomes clearer and clearer, and now she can hear what is the voice saying, it is a woman's voice urging her to get up by calling her name, the voice sends a chilling effect in her spine causing her to wake up shakily. When she wakes up she was choking badly for a moment her eyes bedazzled due to the bright daylight coming through the window then She saw a woman standing in front of her shaking her immensely and calling her name "Emily! Emily! Emily! Wake up!", The woman in front of her is her mother. Emily looked around the room. Everything was in its place, there was no darkness in the room, the table, and the flower vase all were there, nothing was broken, and most importantly, Emily examined her hands, they were in perfect condition, no cuts, no bruises, no scars. The floor and the walls are absolutely clear, not a single stain of splashing blood is present. Everything was just in the right place, like nothing happened. She touches her forehead and realizes she is all wet due to sweating, she was breathing heavily. Her mother gives her a glass of water to drink and calms her down by saying Relax, Emily, it was just a dream, it's alright, She comforts her by patting her head. It was then that Emily realized that she had a nightmare. Emily was not shocked or surprised, She was not even concerned about who that elderly woman was. Who was that elderly man? OR whose silhouette was there? Probably she already knew the answers. In actuality, she was completely quiet, as if it were not her first time having a nightmare. She seems quite familiar with the scenario. And at last, she broke her silence and said, "Ah! Not again, same nightmare...".
