Hi Ginika_01,

I just finished reading your story "Her Bodyguard, Her Boyfriend" and I loved it so much. Your writing is amazing, and I kept thinking how cool it would look as a comic.

I really loved the explosive rescue in the final chapter, the sequence where Jack fights through attackers to reach Donnie. The combat choreography, the sudden close-ups on Jack’s face and Donnie’s terrified expression, and the shifts from wide cinematic beats to tight, messy grapples are perfect for sequential panels. It’s ideal for a comic because those beats let me use dynamic camera angles, dramatic panel rhythm, impact splashes for hits, and strong lighting contrasts to sell tension and stakes.

I also loved the quiet, intimate aftermath scene (the moment after the danger) where everything goes still and the emotional weight lands between Jack and Donnie. The contrast between their physical bruises and the softness of that confession/first real moment of closeness would make for beautiful, cinematic close-ups, silent panels, and a shift in palette to underline the emotional payoff,  perfect for pulling readers in visually.

(There’s also that tense attempted-assault beat earlier in the arc,  I’d handle it sensitively in a comic by implying the danger through reactions, framing, and negative space rather than showing explicit violence.)

I’m a commissioned artist, and I’d love to draw your story into a comic/manga. No pressure though, I just think your work would look awesome in comic form.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
