Chapter 1

A 13 year old werewolf girl with deep chestnut brown hair stood behind the tree as she watched her pack kids happily pouncing here and there in their wolf form. Her hazel eyes filled with tears. There was a sudden tap on her shoulder

"Lyra are you trying to hide away again?"

"No, I'm not", she said sheepishly knowing full will that she is caught.

"Lyra, everyone told you that sometimes it happens that a wolf shifts later. It's not always necessary that all werewolves shifts at 12."

"Yeah, but all others already shifted. There is no one in our pack who didn't shift on their 12th birthday except me", she said with the sad tone.

"It is normal. So don't worry and come play with us."

"But my mother said that I am not a good child and moon goddess doesn't love me that's why I am not blessed with wolf", she said to herself with the glint of tears in her eyes.

Lyra belongs to Silver claw pack located near Tongass forest, Alaska.

Currently our pack's Alpha is Henry and Luna is Emma. They both are really sweet and kind hearted and treats everyone with the respect they deserve and doesn't tolerate any insult to their family or pack members. They have a son named Brian who is a year older than me. He is very sweet and treats me nicely and he is going to be our next Alpha. Our pack is quite peaceful.

Everyone is nice to me except Eliza. She doesn't like me and always taunts me about how I hadn't shifted till now and probably never going to shift. Sometimes it upsets me but my friends Hazel and others comfort me so I stopped taking her comments to heart.
