Chapter 1
Hey my name is max, and I am a 17year old girl that lives in california. My life was genuinely boring, it was normal at first. I was in highschool. My school is called finbay highschool. Anyway, lets get into my story. It all started on a rainy night.
I was getting ready to go to sleep when I got a text mesaage from my best friend laura. Hmm, why would she be texting me at a time like this. I looked at the message she sent me. It said: Hey, max could you meet me at the park like right now! I was a bit confused? Why would she want to meet me at the park at a time a like this ans for what reason? My mind was filled with questions, but right now I needed to get to the park. But the problem was my dad would never allow me to go.
So my only choice was to sneak out. It was my first time doing a thing like this. I couldn’t go out the front door since my dad’s room was right next to it. How convinient! I heaved a big sigh. I had to go out the back door. After strategizing I was ready to go. I was more nervous than I have ever been in my entire life! My dad and I lived alone in a tiny house , he loved me more than anything else in the world. Although we were poor my dad would spoil me with different expensive things.
I didn’t want to disaapoint him after all he’s done for me. But my best friend laura probably had something important to tell me. It could even be an emergency. I out on my raincoat and opened my door. As I did , it let out a loud longing creak. I almost thought my dad would have woken up.
Thankfully, he didn’t, as so I thought. Suddenly my dad burst out his door rubbing his eye sleepily. I quickly jumped behind the sofa so he wouldn’t see me. My heart was beating fast. He opened the fridge and took out some water. I felt a sight of relief come over me. As he did he said something that I couldn’t quite make out. It was something like: I think I should go open that weird letter that came this morning. hmm, whaterever. A letter, what could this be about?
My curiosity was aching me. But I didn’t have time for that. After he left I quickly ran out the backdoor as fast as I could. By the time I reached the park I think it was about 11:00 . Inlooked for laura around the park and then I spotted her. Her long blonde hair and bright blue eyes were impossible to miss. I quickly ran over to her as I called her name.
