Finite Infinity

In the early morning, a man walks by, seemingly in a good mood; his name is Shane Lux. He looks to be a teenager that is about to turn 18, with white skin, completely black eyes and hair, and a pretty long hair at that.

On that fateful day he discovered a broken camera just lying on the ground curious what it was and with nothing to do, he picked up the camera and tried to fix it.

After some time, he eventually fixed it, and what he saw in the footage was strange and made him confused, as what was shown on the camera was too detailed, and the place seemed like Earth but his feelings was telling that its not on Earth. Reason being the camera, was pretty old, and back then people did not have the technology to make editing video with such high quality.

The video felt so real, and at the same time, it did not feel real at all. He was puzzled by what he saw. Shane was contemplating whether it was real or not for hours but gave up as he did not know anything about it, and so Shane was back in his daily life, sleeping, eating, going to school, and meeting with his best friend named Arlo Jithan, a tall man, black short hair, and seems very energetic.

They had a project to do, and they planned to do it in Jit’s house as his parents were not home, and Jit's house had everything needed to complete their project.

But that did not happen, something else happened that made Shane realize the truth in the video that he watched... in the year 2015, July 4th, 8:47 pm, everything went to silence and then darkness arrived. Shane and Jit were sucked into what seemed to be a glitchy floor, they din't even have time to react when they traveled through reality, Jit wasn't able to see anything but Shane saw it for a split second, it was so beutiful, it was scene of all colors and it mesmerized Shane until he passed out in a seemingly random place, crashing down on a road, in the result, it knocked them down and fell unconcious.

After waking up, at first they were clueless on what was happening and about where they were. Then they started to frantically search their phones to use the GPS, but it did not show anything, Shane was frantically looking around to see what this place was and at that moment Shane knew that this place din't feel right and was infact dangerous, as the GPS wouldn’t work, giving him a very bad felling and the place had a sense of nostalgia in it which made him think of something... but at that moment his head started to feel excruciating pain as it felt like it was about to split apart, and Jit was the same, but not on his head but his whole body; to Jit it felt like his whole body was compressed to the point that a normal human being would be crushed.

This constant pain stayed for a bit, but after the pain stopped, Shane was the first to notice that something had changed. He started seeing all the information on what his eyes were seeing and started to see so far away in a 360-degree angle (about 500 meters). Shane was amazed, as it felt amazing seeing such clarity, while Jit noticed his body gave a feeling of being light and strong, but he did not know the full extent of what was happening.

After processing all this information and enduring the excruciating pain, the pain eventually subsided. Shane and Jit then talked to each other about what they were experiencing; to them, it felt so surreal, as this was like a dream.

They were experiencing a whole new experience, so different from their normal life.

But as they talked to each other, Shane noticed far out in the vicinity on what seems to be a creature, Shane knew it was not a normal creature because he knew a lot about animals and they do not act, look or behave that way, after knowing that, Shane told Jit to run quickly as he did not want to know what that creature is or what is it about to do to them, so they ran as quickly as possible but Shane was quick to ran out of stamina since Shane barely does any workout, so Jit had to carry Shane because the creature was closing in on them and Jit had no choice but to carry Shane even though he knew he was gonna ran out of stamina as well, but strangely enough he did not fell tired at all instead he felt that he could go faster and so he ran as fast as he could, leaving the creature behind which made the two relieved, and this shocked Shane as to how Jit was running this fast, but he din't have time to think about it as Shane believed that there would be more of that creature he decided to talk to Jit about what they were going to do from now on.

Shane’s plan was to find a place with any sort of structure that they could use so that they could be safe and stay there temporarily and construct a plan to survive or even get out of this place (The place they are in looks like a normal road with no sight of any structure).

Following that, they eventually found an area that was full of houses. What’s weird is that the area seems to be never ending, and the houses spanned across endlessly, and what’s even weirder is that the houses looked almost the same.

But they did not have time to worry about that and quickly set up a protective base to protect them when they sleep in one of the houses, and what’s more is that there is actually some food that they can eat, this made the two happy as they had supplies for the long run, but this also made Shane confused, he was convinced that this place is not on Earth but it still had food and supplies similar to Earths food, further more, that weird scene outside where endless houses just spans across the plane without an end almost solidified his thoughts, but having food that resembles that of their world and houses that looks like in a suburban neighborhoods, contradicts his idea of this being in another reality that is from their world but he did not want to think about this any further as this may affect his mentality.

After the two of them made a base of some sort to protect them and also to sleep in, they then started to plan ahead on what they were going to do and to further explore their understanding of the ability that they were given. After they were done with their planning, they went to sleep, hoping that it would go well tomorrow.

But little did they know how dangerous this place was, as this is the level known as the “Darkened Suburbs.” (Level 9 in the backrooms, and a class 4, indicating a very dangerous level)

(Explanation for how they got their ability, the reason why they got powers is because they experienced change when they were sucked in on that distortion, those distortion may not look like much but when you enter it, you essentially change because of the effects of being out of reality, all forces of the world will bombared you in a very short time, it will not kill you, but make you pass out and make you dizzy, and it would be strange if nothing changed in your body, but not everyone gets powers like our main characters, there is a very small chance of getting it, and even if you got lucky, your ability won't be equal.)
