Summary

At 18, Raven falls for Callum, 19, but he keeps her at a distance. When he tells her he's moving out of state the next day, she agrees to become intimate, hoping it will bring them closer. But Raven soon discovers that Callum never moved. He still lives in the same house and town and admits he lied, taking advantage of her naivety to get what he wanted, which didn’t include a relationship. Heartbroken and betrayed, Raven reinvents herself. She channels the pain into her career, building a reputation as a fierce, unyielding professional who never tolerates dishonesty in business or her personal life. Years later, Raven runs into Callum during a major business deal. Despite their past, she remains composed and successfully negotiates the contract. Callum, charmed by Raven, is desperate for her to see him as the man he is today, someone who no longer takes advantage of others but is now truthful, honest, and upstanding. But Raven doesn’t even consider giving him another chance. To her, he’s a part of her past she’s long moved beyond. Things become more complicated when Callum’s older brother, Rory, who never approved of Callum’s callous treatment of Raven, enters the picture. Now that they are all adults & have reconnected, Rory throws his hat into the ring & pursues Raven. Callum finds himself in the difficult position of facing his past mistakes and his brother's competition.
