Chapter 1: The Dream of an Elder Sister

Chapter 1: The Dream of an Elder Sister

Shani was a lovely child, full of warmth and kindness, yet something deep inside him always felt incomplete. His heart longed for something more—something deeper than the affection he received from his family and friends. As a boy, he dreamt of having an elder sister, someone to listen to him, guide him, and share a bond of understanding that no one else could provide. He often thought to himself, “If only I had an older sister, life would make more sense.”

From the time he was five, when he began to recognize his own feelings, Shani would lie in bed at night, staring at the ceiling, imagining the comfort of having someone who would always be there for him. “A sister,” he would whisper into the quiet of the night, “someone who would protect me, share my dreams, and never leave my side.” This simple wish had become his constant companion. He often thought, “What is family, if not someone who understands you without words?”

As the years passed, Shani’s wish never wavered. His friends came and went, and while his family loved him, they couldn’t provide the deeper connection he yearned for. And so, as he reached the age of 13, the yearning only grew stronger. “I need someone who sees me,” he thought, “someone who knows what I need before I say it.”
