BURN THE WORLD

Theme: Jack and Anita meet at the end of the semester party after being broken up for six months, neither one nor the other had even expected to run into each other. They both were quite sensitive to loud noise, crazy how they both found themselves at a party, when their friends left and started socializing, they both felt out of place and what made it worse was that within that state of awkwardness, their eyes crossed each others paths. Janet, being the host of the party announced that they were about to play a fun game called seven minutes in heaven, and like the awkwardness wasn’t enough, they were the first two people picked to enter the room.

(They enter the room)

About 2 minutes passed without either one of them saying a thing, that was until….

Anita: why?.

Jack: what do you mean why?.

Anita: you didn’t fight for us, you didn’t even try to.

Jack: ahh

Anita: just tell me that, why?

Jack: you left me, I’m supposed to be the one asking that.

Anita: As crazy as it sounds, I remember you told me, you'd never let me go without a fight, you said you'd burn the world for me, but you didn’t, you didn’t even try, why?

(they both stood quite for some time)

Jack: Remember, three days before you left, you told me about the picnic you had planned and had invited some friends.

Anita: Yeah, what about that?

Jack: I did, I came, I remember, I spent sometime thinking about everything and I decided that whatever happened wasn’t worth not having you in my life,

so I came.

Anita: I never saw you

Jack: Yeah, I saw you, finally smiling, happy, seated there with him, I was hurt to be honest, but when I saw him treat you how you begged me to,

look at you how I should have. in as much as I wanted to burn the world for you, I couldn't even bring myself to light the match.

Janet: Okay times up, who’s next!!
