Chapter 1
A new chapter is uploaded every day.
(This book is not quite finished in German yet, which is why I have to take a break after chapter 2 to finish it.)
Thank you for your patience and understanding and enjoy reading.😊😉
After Lyra's unexpected collapse, everyone is very worried about her. However, when she wakes up a few days later, not only has her appearance changed, but her behavior is also different than before. While Lyra is thinking about revealing herself to everyone as a leader, problems arise again. Alpha Ritsch is trying to kidnap not only Vince, but Lyra as well. On top of that, the Alpha King also becomes aware of her pack. She then unexpectedly meets her next companion, who seems perfect at first glance, at least until she finds out something disturbing and unbelievable about him. What options will Lyra choose in all this chaos?
Yonar
While Tom, Deniz and I took care of the pack, Linus and Vince stayed with Lyra, who had been unconscious for three days.
Through my healing magic I found out that she was simply physically and mentally exhausted, but I still didn't know how long it would take until she woke up again.
She had somehow managed to activate her alpha mode, even though she had hardly trained. However, that was too much for her, which is why she was now completely exhausted.
In any case, she will have to train more in the future before she can use alpha mode again.
However, Vince also worried me a lot, because he stayed by her side day and night and would not be dissuaded. Even when I used my beta command on him, it had no effect on him at all.
The only reaction I got from him was that his wolf pushed itself to the front and growled at me both warningly and completely angrily.
While Tom and I were still going through some documents in the office, Linus suddenly connected her to me, sounding panicked: "Yonar, please come here quickly." Vince has transformed into his wolf form and laid down next to Lyra, and now her sudden appearance is changing. I... I don't know... what to do."
"Her appearance is changing?" I asked thoughtfully, to which Linus replied, still panicked: "Yes, I can't explain it in more detail, you just have to come here and see it with your own eyes."
"I'm on my way!" I explained before I broke the connection and ran to our floor, with Tom immediately following me.
Before we could take a step into her room, however, a warning growl greeted us.
Shit.
Apparently Vince's wolf was in full control, I could see that clearly in his eyes.
Vince
I couldn't eat or sleep, nor did my wolf allow me to move a single step away from her.
Not to mention that I didn't want to move away from her.
On top of that, I felt like I was more connected to her than before her fight with the rebels.
Even my wolf Terius already saw her as his destined mate, which I couldn't understand at all.
Yes, I not only liked her, I also had feelings for her, but that she could be my true mate, my second chance, was simply unthinkable for me.
If that were the case, I should have felt it long ago.
As soon as I said that to my wolf, however, he just growled at me and fell silent.
And even though Yonar explained that she was just exhausted, both my worries about her and my nervousness grew.
With every minute, on the sidelines, I hoped more and more that she would finally wake up.
However, I had already waited three days without her moving even a millimeter.
Damn.
I felt more useless than ever before.
Sitting here next to her and not being able to do anything was pure torture for me.
I felt like my nerves were already at their limit, but when Terius suddenly fought with me for control, I had no chance against him.
He started the negotiations, jumped onto Lyra's bed and lay down right next to her, and I could immediately feel sparks where my wolf touched her.
How the hell was that possible?
While the sparks became stronger and stronger, her body also began to change a little, which made me support myself even more.
But out of nowhere the sparks disappeared, and my wolf immediately growled loudly and roared in our minds: "MINE!"
And at that very moment Yonar opened her bedroom door and looked at my wolf form in complete shock.
Even Tom looked as if his eyes were about to pop out.
But it was only when they came closer that I noticed that they weren't staring at Terius, no, they were staring at Lyra, completely perplexed.
At that very moment my wolf gave me back control.
My gaze also wandered directly to Lyra.
Her hair was now much longer and shinier than before.
Her facial features were even more striking and feminine, and I couldn't help but stare at her full lips.
She had also obviously grown five or ten centimeters.
"Oh my goodness..." Tom began to whisper, opening her eyes and leaving us all speechless.
Her eyes glowed a wine-red color before she blinked a few times and they returned to their normal color.
I thought I was wrong in the forest the other day, but now I realized that she already had those red eyes back then, even though I had only seen them for a few seconds.
"Lyra? How are you feeling?" Yonar asked worriedly as he sat down on the edge of the bed and began to examine her worriedly.
She was a little pale, but then whispered: "I'm thirsty."
Linus immediately ran off and came back just a few seconds later with a glass of water, which he handed to her straight away.
She drank it all in one go and then looked around at our group.
"Why are you all here?" she asked after a few seconds, her voice sounding slightly scratchy.
Yonar then began: "We were very worried about you, you were unconscious for three whole days. How are you? Does anything hurt?"
She just nodded before saying emotionlessly: "I'm fine, you really don't need to worry. Leave me alone now. I urgently need a bath."
For my taste, she was much too reserved, or rather, very dismissive, which even made my wolf uneasy.
But then Yonar said in a very composed tone: "Come on, guys, she needs some time for herself."
While everyone else left the room, I transformed back into my human form, but I still didn't move a single inch away from Lyra.
She just looked at me with a frown, but then stood up and went into her bathroom without saying a word.
Why did it seem to me now as if she was even more distant than usual?
I would have preferred to go after her directly.
My nakedness didn't bother me, but pestering her in the bathroom now would be a mistake.
"You should probably take a shower and get dressed," Yonar's voice suddenly rang out.
I turned around immediately and found him still standing in the doorway, looking very thoughtful.
Did he know why she was acting so different than usual?
I walked up to him, asking, "Do you know what's wrong with her? There's something wrong with her, I can feel it."
Yonar then looked at me with an indecipherable look and asked, "You can feel it?"
I just nodded before adding, "That's very strange. Do you also feel something when you or your wolf touches her?"
He knew?
But how?
My derailed face must have been enough of an answer for him, because he nodded with a slight grin and turned around.
Before he disappeared from my sight, however, he said in a slightly amused tone, "You should freshen up. I assume that she will want to talk to you later. But remember not to press her too much or demand something from her that she is not ready for. Lyra has really not had it easy and if my assumptions are correct, a lot of things will change soon."
"What does that mean?" I replied, completely baffled by his statement, but Yonar had already disappeared.
"Now go ahead and do what he said." Terius stated, whereupon I was even more confused than before.
Since when did he agree with Yonar?
"Go ahead. Boy, you look like shit, you can't face her like that again." My wolf added, whereupon I actually started moving without protest.
