Chapter 1

The Move:

The Crunch Gravel beneath the tires signaled their arrival. Lilly gazed out the window, her eyes fixed on the imposing structure in the distance. Ravenwood Mansion loomed over the landscape, its turrets and spires reaching towards the sky like skeletal fingers.

"Welcome home", her father, Mr Nathan, said, his voice dripping with enthusiasm.

Lilly's mother, Mrs.Olivia, smiled warmly. "Isn't it beautiful, kids?"

Lilly's siblings Max and Cindy, exchanged a skeptical glance. "It's Creepy" Max whispered.

Lilly nodded in agreement, something about the Mansions grandeur and isolation sent a shiver down her spine.

As the family stepped out of the car, the cold wind whipped through their hair, lily's father began unloading the suitcase's. While their mom headed the kids towards the front door.

Their new home, a cozy victorian house, stood at the edge of Ravenwood estate. Lilly's parents had purchased the property, eager to leave the city and start a new life.

As lilly entered the house she felt a thrill if excitement mixed with trepidation.

This was a fresh start and also a mysterious and terrifying one.

As the family unpacked their stuffs lilly wandered around the house, exploring every rooms. The creaking of floorboards and musty smell reminded her of her grandparents' old house 🏡. She felt a pang of nostalgia, but it was quickly replaced with a unease.

Lilly's gaze kept drifting towards rhe window, where Ravenwood mansion loomed towards in the distance. She couldn't shake off the feeling that the Mansion was watching her, it's empty windows like souless eyes.

"Hey, Lilly can you help with this box?"

Het mother called from the living room.

Lilly reluctantly tore her gaze from the window and joined her mom in the living room. As they unpacked Lilly's siblings Max and Cindy began to argue over who got to control the TV remote.

Their father intervened, his voice firm but patient "let's take turns, kids. We're all going to share and compromise in this nee house.

Lilly smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her father. He was always trying to keep the peace ☮️, even when things got chaotic.

As day wore on, the family continued to pack and settle in. Lilly's unease about the mansion never fully dissipated but she tried to focus on the excitement of their new adventure.

As night began to fall, Lilly's mother began to call everyone for dinner 🥣. They gathered around the table, exhausted and happy and shared a lot of stories together. Lilly glanced at the window noticing that the lights in Ravenwood Mansion seened to flicker to life. Casting an eerie glow over the landscape.

She shivered, feeling a chill run down her spine.

"Lilly what's wrong" her mother asked seeing her daughter unease.

Lilly hesitated, unsure how to explain the feeling of been watched. "I....I just feel like something's off", she said finally.

Her father smiled reassuringly, "it's just nerves, kiddo. We're all feeling a little overwhelmed and We'll get settled in, and this will start to feel like home".

LIlly nodded trying to believe her father's word's. But as she glanced back at the window, she couldn't shake the feeling that Ravenwood Mansion was waiting for her, it's secrets and mysteries lurking just beyond the edge of town.

As the night wore on, Lilly tried to shake of the feeling that the mansion was watching her. She helped her family finish unpacking, and they settled in for a quiet dinner.

After dinner, Lilly retreated to her new bedroom, feeling exhausted but still on the edge. She tried to focus on unpacking her clothes and setting up her room, but her gaze kept drifting towards the window.

Ravenwood Mansion loomed towards the darkness, it's windows like empty eyes staring back at her. Lilly shivered feeling a run down her spine.

"I'll get used to it," she thought to herself, trying to sound braver than she thought.

But as she drifted off to sleep. Lilly couldn't shake the felling that she was being pulled into a dark and sinister world, one that laurkled just beyond the edge of town.
