I laughed I swooned I punched a pillow and I balled my eyes out.
"This book has scratched all my paranormal romance itches. Slow-burn tension (check) fated vs. chosen mate chaos (check), and enough angst to wreck your soul, in the best way (check, check, check). I expected the typical fated mates, but one has a significant other they don’t want to give up trope that's in so many werewolf stories. There are elements of that, bur this story feels bigger and richer and deeper. The author kicks things off with a really cool creationism story that pulls in a lot of mythology in each of the characters stories. I also like the political drama and kind of corrupted societal norms that took the wolves away from their beliefs. The take on rogue wolves is also very intriguing. Im curious about how that all works out. The best part is the characters. Theyre written in a way that feels real and you end up getting attached to them and having intense feelings about them (good and bad). Lena is THAT girl. I love that she's a strong, independent FMC that thinks for herself, stands up for herself, takes what she wants without taking advantage of others. I feel like Kai is meant to be complex character. I swing back and forth between rooting for him and raging at him. He could have MMC/love interest potential, but has a lot of growing to do. Caleb is a bit of a dream. I’m not sure, but it kinda feels like he's meant to be the hero of the story, or the glue that brings everyone together. His plot seems more significant than the romance between Kai and Lena so that leads me to thinking he’s the hero. The best part about Caleb is Asher. I LOVE their love and I hope they will stay end-game. Also, the best side character I have ever read, Ryker. He's A LOT, but very very sweet. Every time he's on page I smile and laugh and want more. I would read an entire book about Ryker. I’m really sad the first book is done. I don’t want to leave this world. I cant wait for the next installment. I am obsessed!"

Caleb and Lena???
"Maybe Ashton can find his mate and somehow Lena and Caleb become second chance mates. I don't believe Kai is choosing Ava romantically but his actions are despicable and I despise him more every chapter. I get that he cares for Ava and needed to check on her but the gamma was his friend too. And all those families affected are his pack. Lena is doing what he should be doing. Taking care of the pack. As far as I can tell, Ava is a liability to his ability to do that. What kind of Luna would she make if she's monopolizing the Alpha for injuries that will heal quickly?!?"
