Great story
"A great story that takes an unexpected turn."
Just when you think you know the story, it changes
" This was a good read, it has intrigue upon intrigue in its pages, and just when you think you know the story? it changes. I made assumptions as I read this story, then had to change when my assumptions were shattered. I imagined a world like ours, only to realize it wasn't. I imagined a political structure like ours, only to realize it wasn't. The world this is in embraces same sex relationships amongst the rich and powerful without undue comments, it in some ways is an old world romance where the President yearns for a lover that wants her for who she is, not what she is. She finds that in a supposed simple restaurant owner on a political trip. It takes some doing, some back and forths, some breakups and recoveries for them both to realize they love each other. Then the first twist hits, and it takes over the story from there. You are left guessing as to what will happen and where it will end. It has a Cutting Edge ending. You are left to determine on your own whether it's a good ending or a bad one. I choose to believe it was a happy ending for both of them, with much joy ahead of them. But...make your own guess. To the author, I enjoyed this story immensely. I'll be looking forward to perusing your catalog for other gems. "
