In the beginning... The angel Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and condemned to rule Hell for all eternity.

Until he decided to take a vacation...

Place: Los Angeles 2016 A.D.

Lucifer is driving his no-roof car in the busy night of Los Angeles. He is wearing a business suit as that is his style, while tapping to the beat of music, driving with one hand. He turns quickly on the road onto another road, speeding up. Suddenly a police sound is heard behind him. Lucifer has his hand on the blinker, but he seems calm about it. Just smirking, like always. Not scared of anything. The police is riding a motorcycle behind him still sirens on. Lucifer turns to the side of the road calmly and the police gets off his vehicle.

“Turn the music down, sir.” The police politely asks him. Lucifer seems to pay no mind. “Hey, cut the music.” “I’m sorry.” Lucifer answers smiling, while he turns the music down. “You know why i pulled you over?” The police officer asks him. “Well, obviously, you felt the need to exercise your limited powers and punish me for ignoring the speed limit. It’s okay. I understand.” Lucifer holds his hand up with a grinning look like he definitely understands it. “I like to punish people, too. Or atleast i used to.” “License and registration.” The officer commands not seeming touched by any of Lucifer’s words. Lucifer sighs and answers “Coming right up.”

The officer looks confused and suddenly asks “Are you trying to bribe me, sir?” “Yes, of course.” Lucifer answers sly. He hands over some money to the officer that looks confused. “Is that not enough? Take more. It’s only money.” Lucifer states, like money ONLY was money. “It’s against the law, sir.” The officer also states, being as legal as an officer now has to be. “You people are funny about your laws, aren’t you?” Lucifer asks grinning. Lucifer begins on asking manipulative questions like: “You break the law sometimes, don’t you?” The police is caught in his manipulative eyes. “Sometimes...” He answers truthfully, because he has no other choice. That’s what Lucifers eyes does. They can manipulate the best. “I put my siren on and drive really fast for no reason at all, just ’cause i can.” “Right? And why wouldn’t you? It’s fun. It feels good to get away with something, doesn’t it?” Lucifer tells while still holding hard eye contact with the officer. He seems to not notice himself that he is being manipulated to telling the truth, only laughing a bit about it like a light talk. “Yeah.” Lucifer says lightly.

Now the officer seems to have gotten back and looks confused around in the air. “It’s okay, Officer. People like to tell me things, those deep dark, naughty little desires that are on their mind. It’s a gift. Must be something about this face.” Lucifer smirks proudly, while the officer still looks confused.

“You’re tempted to keep that, aren’t you?” Lucifer asks manipulative. The officer nods eargerly. “Well, what are you waiting for, permission? Go on, take it, buy yourself something pretty. You deserve it.” Lucifer states handing out the money, while the officer takes the money from him looking surprised, but quite happy. “But if you don’t mind, I really must be on my way.” He announces to the officer. They are holding quite much eye contact now again. “Oh, yeah of course. Hey, have a nice evening.” The officer states and holds out the money happy that he got it. He smiles to Lucifer and walk away. “You too, officer.” Lucifer says before the officer walks away to his vehicle.

“You too.” He whispers while turning the music up seeming more serious in his face. He drives off speeding high up on the road again.

Lucifer still drives in the dark evening of Los Angeles. Now he turns into a small road with lots of people in line to something. They have drinks in their hands and dresses and suits and all kinds of things. Lucifer stops his car and is about to step out of the car while a guy in a suit says: “Hey, boss.” Lucifer doesn’t answer, but throws the car keys to him. The guy gets in the car and probably drives it over to a place where it can be parked. While Lucifer walks beside the crowd that is eager to get in the club, a sign is on the wall that says:Lux.

He gets inside the club where there is women strip-dancing on the tables and other people crowded in the big club with drinks and whatever things. A woman in revealing clothes gives a drink to Lucifer and he takes it while still walking further into the club. Lucifer owns a nightclub named Lux. And he definitely knows where all places are in the club, seeming targetted at where he needs to go in the club. He step over to a balcony inside of the club and takes a sip of the drink while observing the club. He passes a women that looks kind of interested in him, but walks by. He walks further down some stairs while taking more sips of the alcohol in his hand.

The club is dark, only very little light, while he walks through the main floor it seems to be. There is a piano, but instead of someone playing on it, some people are making out on it. There is more round tables with alcohol in a bowl of ice and sofas around the table. He walks over to the bar of the club, while smirking confidently.

“Where have you been?” Mazikeen asks. Mazikeen is another being from hell, made to protect Lucifer. “Oh, holed up in a Château, copulating with a young woman named Faith.” Lucifer says still smirking. Mazikeen isn’t even facing him. But she looks like she’s very annoyed by him. She is drying a whiskey glass with a towel in the bar. She is wearing dark revealing clothes as always and some deep red lipstick.

“It’s ironic, isn’t it?” “Thank you Patrick, you can go.” Mazikeen says, while a man from in front of her, gets up slowly. Patrick takes his drink and Lucifer chuckles while realizing what just happened. “You little devil.” Lucifer states about Mazikeen. “What? I dropped something.” “I’m sure you did.” Lucifer smiles darkly. “Now, Lucifer, I am a big fan of sex.” “Obviously.” Lucifer adds. Mazikeen continues “But I didn’t leave Hell to be a bartender. Shouldn’t you be spending your valuable time doing something more significant?” Lucifer scoffs taking one more sip of his drink. “You’re the lord of Hell, for crying out loud.” Mazikeen says. “I am reitred, Maze. I’ve got nothing but time.” Lucifer answers and holds up the now empty glass of alcohol and replies after with “Thank you.” Maze pours more up for him, but suddenly something happens. The time suddenly goes slow and it seems Lucifer and Maze is the only one noticing. Everyone is also slowed in time, but him and Mazikeen. It’s like all the music in the club is just saying weird slow sounds now. But Lucifer seems like he knows that it’s someone special that is arriving without notice.

“I think you have a visitor.” Maze says holding eye contact with him. Lucifer sighs and takes two glasses of alcohol. He turns around from Mazikeens gaze. A man is coming from the crowd of people now slowly dancing. The man walks in a normal pace though, as the only one.

“Amenadiel, how’s it hanging, big guy?” Lucifer says like no serious is ever happening. Amenadiel is Lucifer’s brother. Amenadiel looks serious at Lucifer though and says “Your return to the Underworld has been requested.” “Oh, right, okay. let me just, uh, check my calender.” Lucifer puts the glass on the table from where he sat down and pulls out his phone from a pocket inside of the suit jacket. “Here it is, uh, the seventh of never through to the 15th of ain’t gonna happen. How does that work for you guys?” Lucifer sighs. “Look, remind Dad that I quit Hell because I was sick and tired of playing a part in his play.” “I’m gonna warn you against disrespecting our father, Lucifer.” Amenadiel says still serious in his look like always.

“Yeah, well, our father’s been disrespecting me since the beginning of time, so pot-kettle, don’t you think?” Lucifer discusses. “You are a mockery of everything divine.” Amenadiel tells, meaning for it to be an insult. “Thank you.” Lucifer says over dramaticly happy. “Thank you, but lately i’ve been doing a fair amount of thinking. Now, do you think i’m the devil because i’m inherently evil, just because dear old Dad decided I was?”

“What exactly do you think happens when the Devil leaves Hell?” Amenadiel asks. Lucifer scoffs and looks around, but then Amenadiel gets closer to Lucifer to prove a point, because Amenadiel is very serious. “All those demons, all those tormented and tortured souls, where do you think they go?” “Don’t know, don’t care. Not my problem brother.” Lucifer looks serious at Amenadiel and then leans back against the couch. “So consider the position officially open.” Lucifer says lightly. He takes a sip of his drink. “And you, my feathered friend, can go to Hell.”

Amenadiel makes his wings go out and something very sharp from the frightening wings gets close to Lucifers neck. The only thing Lucifer does is he is chuckling. He looks quite impressed, not scared at all. He is the ruler of hell anyways. “Yeah, try it. You think father’s upset now.” Lucifer says. Amenadiel finally chuckles and pulls the wings with the sharp away. Lucifer puts his hand to his neck where Amenadiel threatened him and rubs a bit against his neck ’cause after all, it still hurts. “You know, he will not be merciful for much longer.” Amenadiel tells now again serious and he turns around, his wings still out. He walks away again, the music plays again normally and people dances at a normal pace again in the club.
