I hate basketball.

And I don't understand why I keep coming back here.

'Kaniyo Stadium' where the high schools all around Mikami come together to figure out which the best basketball team is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My smile shifted as the team I betted on with my friend started to lose. Bragging rights are on the line, and I can't afford to give them up. I said to myself with a pout.
I made a heavy sigh as the buzzer stopped and the fourth quarter ended. The score succumbed to 71 - 73, with the team I had betted on losing.
A singular tear dropped out of my eye sarcastically, as the crowd went silent. The team dropped to the floor crawling and sobbing on their knees.
What a bunch of children. I thought.
Sobbing on the floor is childish, they should save it for the locker rooms.
I guess I should have known on which team would have won. But oh well, it's too late now.
As I walked out of the stadium, I realised that my phone fell out of my pocket.
As I walked my way back to where I stood, I had an unexpected encounter.
The blonde streaks of hair, and gorgeous blue eyes, would make any woman fall in love with him instantly.
It was around the corner where we collided.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." I apologised to the angel infront of me.
"Yeah, it's alright. Watch were you're going next time." The attitude on his sentence aggravated me. It made me grit my teeth.
"Of course! I deeply apologise!" I said sarcastically before grudging past him, pushing my shoulder into his.
Fucking jerk. I sighed under my breath. Just enough for him to be unable to hear me. However, his teammates did. Each one gave me the hairy eye as I walked past. While whispering hurtful comments about my manner.
Tsk. Basketball players are all the same. They really grind my gears.
I shook my anger off enough to not punch a wall. But it stayed there for the rest of the night. I suprisingly found my phone and left. On my way out I saw that blonde freak again and some chick he was talking too.
"Kai, you were sooo good!" She squealed.
My ears were bleeding from her annoying pipsqueak voice.
"Thank you." Kai said speaking softly and fakely. It really pricked me. Why wasn't he like that with me?
"Can I get a picture with you, pleaseee? Teehee." She spoke again in the same way. This time she added a cutesy laugh.
"Sorry, maybe another time. I have to do something real quick." He said gently pushing down her phone with his hand.
"Oh. That's okay!" Disappointment filled her voice but I bet she will be back tomorrow to ask again.
Fast-paced footsteps were heard behind me. 'Stop'. I turned around and saw him again. The look of disgust filled my face as he started talking to me.
"The fuck you want." I grazed coldly as my eyes pierced him.
"Calm down there Tiger." He started. I put my guard up, not being able to trust what he has to say. "I just waited so I could apologise to you. So I am sorry for my previous behaviour." He apologised. I closed up and thought whether I should forgive him or not. That train of thought stopped as a hysterical laugh came out of my mouth.
"Listen. I hate people like you." As my eyes sharpened, his eyes widened. "Thinking they are the best at something, when your not. Just because you have many fan girls, it doesn't mean you're the most popular." I took breath. "What I am trying to say is, people like you aren't like people like me." I didn't give him a chance to speak. Just walked off.
Tsk.
I sometimes wish that basketball was a mixed sport. So that I could find someone who was as passionate to basketball as I was. That passion went down the drain as I entered high school. Everyone on my team hated my guts because I was "too good" whatever that was supposed to mean. I just did it cuz I had fun and enjoyed it. Clearly they didn't.
