This one’s got some serious legs, I’m tellin’ ya. It’s got mystery, it’s got supernatural vibes—everything you need to keep you hooked like a good cigar on a Saturday night. Jamie and Alex, the two main schmucks, they don’t exactly like each other, right? But man, when they’re in the same room, the sparks fly. The back-and-forth between those two is like watchin’ Sinatra and Dean roast each other—it’s pure entertainment, no lie. Now, let’s talk about the mystery here. Look, I figured out right away that the first murder was the work of a Vampire. I mean, c’mon, you don’t need to be a gumshoe to see that. But the way the story lays it out? It doesn’t hand-feed ya like some cheap meatloaf, capisce? You gotta put the pieces together yourself, and when it clicks, hoo boy, that’s a sweet feelin’. That takes skill, my friend, and this writer’s got it in spades. And the style? Spot on. The vibe, the jargon—it’s got that classic noir aesthetic, ya know, like Bogart’s about to walk in at any minute. Though, if I had one gripe—and ya know me, I always got one—it’s that they could throw in a bit more period slang.
