"Excellent story and characters, I’m pulling for them to make it"
Great book
"I absolutely love this book. I don’t have one single complaint about it. There are no grammatical errors and the plot is great and doesn’t get boring. I might be a bit biased because I’m an absolute sucker for romance but I love this book so much and never want it to end. I highly recommend this book to literally anyone. It isn’t hard to read, the punctuation is great, it doesn’t use any big words, and it isn’t inappropriate. A+ book"
My Nonchalant Boyfriend
"Review: This story completely swept me off my feet! My Nonchalant Boyfriend is one of those books that captures your heart from the first chapter and doesn't let go. The main character, JK (Justin Keifer del Valle Montemayor), is the ultimate lowkey gwapo—the kind of guy who doesn’t try to stand out, but his quiet confidence and mysterious allure make it impossible to ignore him. His sun-kissed skin, sharp jawline, and those eyes that seem to hide endless stories are just the surface of his fascinating personality. I was hooked from the moment I started reading about him! Mae (Maria Eunice Villareal Aragon) is his total opposite—bubbly, outgoing, and a social butterfly who’s loved by everyone around her. But Mae's heart is set on Markus, JK’s younger brother, and she comes up with a plan to get closer to him by using JK as a bridge. I honestly loved how the author set this up because you think you know exactly where the story is going, but then it completely surprises you. As Mae spends more time with JK, she starts to see that there’s more to him than his quiet, aloof exterior. Behind that nonchalant facade is someone who’s warm, sincere, and surprisingly charming. Watching Mae realize this was such a joy to read, and I couldn't stop rooting for them! The chemistry between JK and Mae was just perfect. Their slow-burn romance is everything! I loved how the relationship built up naturally—there was no rush, just two people discovering each other and slowly falling in love. The emotional moments between them were so beautifully written, and I found myself smiling and even tearing up at times. Mae’s internal struggle as her feelings shift from Markus to JK was so relatable, and I could feel every moment of her confusion and realization. What really stood out to me was how well the author developed both JK and Mae’s characters. JK’s transformation from this distant, introverted guy to someone with so much warmth and depth was so satisfying. And Mae’s growth from someone who just wants to follow a plan to someone who truly understands her heart was amazing. It’s a love story that doesn’t just focus on the romance but also on personal growth, which makes it all the more meaningful. The writing style is also a big plus—smooth, engaging, and easy to follow. I loved the little touches of Filipino phrases, which added so much authenticity to the story. The pacing was just right, and I never felt like anything was rushed or dragged out. Honestly, I can’t recommend this story enough! It’s a perfect blend of romance, humor, and heartfelt moments. The ending left me with a huge smile on my face, and I can’t wait to read more from this author. Final Thoughts: If you love slow-burn romance with well-developed characters, unexpected love, and a satisfying character arc, My Nonchalant Boyfriend is a must-read. It’s one of those stories you’ll fall in love with and never want to put down. 5/5 stars, no question!"
My Nonchalant Boyfriend
"Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Review: If you're a fan of slow-burn romances with a bit of tension and unexpected twists, My Nonchalant Boyfriend is definitely worth your time. The story revolves around Justin Keifer del Valle Montemayor (JK), the classic "lowkey gwapo" guy—think sun-kissed skin, sharp jawline, and an aura of mystery. JK might seem like the perfect candidate for campus heartthrob status, but he’s content to stay under the radar and focus on his studies. Enter Maria Eunice Villareal Aragon (Mae), the complete opposite—charming, bubbly, and the life of the party. Mae has her eyes set on Markus, JK's younger brother, but in order to get closer to him, she comes up with a plan: use JK as a bridge. But as the story unfolds, Mae begins to see JK in a whole new light—his nonchalant, aloof personality hides a warm, sincere side that she never expected. And before she knows it, Mae is questioning her heart. I absolutely loved the development of the characters. JK’s transformation from being quiet and distant to someone warm and unexpectedly sweet was so satisfying to read. And Mae’s character arc was just as compelling—watching her evolve from someone fixated on her plan to someone who begins to fall for JK was emotional and relatable. Their chemistry was undeniable, and the pacing of their relationship felt natural. That said, while the story was enjoyable overall, I do think there’s room for a bit more depth in terms of Mae’s internal conflict. There were moments where I felt like we could’ve gotten a deeper look into her thought process, especially as she begins to shift her feelings from Markus to JK. The writing style was smooth and easy to follow, and I liked the little touches of Filipino phrases that made the story feel more authentic. The author’s technical writing skills were on point, and I didn’t notice any glaring errors. Overall, My Nonchalant Boyfriend is a fun and heartwarming read that will make you root for JK and Mae from start to finish. It’s perfect for those who love stories about unexpected love and personal growth. Can’t wait to see what the author has in store next! Suggestions for improvement: Dive deeper into Mae’s internal struggle as her feelings change. Develop Markus’s character a bit more to give him more presence in the story. Final Thoughts: A solid 4/5. Definitely recommended for romance lovers!"
My Nonchalant Boyfriend
"Plot: 4.5/5 The plot of My Nonchalant Boyfriend is undeniably charming, with a unique twist on the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. The characters' contrasting personalities are a strong foundation for the story, and watching Mae's plan slowly unravel as she falls for JK adds depth to the narrative. The slow-burn romance is executed well, and there’s a perfect balance of humor, emotional moments, and heartwarming development. One area that could be explored further is Mae's internal conflict—perhaps more scenes could delve into her struggle between Markus and JK to make her eventual decision even more poignant. Character Development: 5/5 The characters are well-developed and relatable, especially JK. His transition from the quiet, aloof guy to someone with hidden layers is beautifully done. Mae's growth, from a girl focused on a plan to someone genuinely questioning her feelings, is also handled with depth. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, making it easy to root for them as their relationship develops. It would be great to see more background on the secondary characters like Markus, as they play an important role in driving the plot. Writing Style: 4.5/5 The author’s writing style is engaging and easy to follow. The use of Filipino phrases and the casual, conversational tone adds authenticity and relatability to the story. The pacing is mostly smooth, though there are moments where transitions could be a little sharper. However, the narrative overall is compelling and draws the reader in with its natural flow and dialogue. Technical Writing Skills: 5/5 The technical aspects of the writing—punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure—are well-executed. The narrative is clean, with no noticeable errors or awkward phrasing. The use of language feels natural, and the tone matches the story’s atmosphere. Overall Impression: My Nonchalant Boyfriend is an enjoyable read that blends romance, humor, and character development in a way that keeps the reader invested from start to finish. JK and Mae are dynamic and relatable, and their slow-burn love story is both heartwarming and engaging. I love how the author has created a narrative that explores love’s unexpected paths while also showing the importance of personal growth. The only thing I’d suggest is diving even deeper into Mae's inner turmoil, especially when her feelings begin to shift. That said, it’s a fantastic story, and I can't wait to see more from this author! Suggestions for Improvement: Explore Mae's internal struggle more in-depth as she faces the conflict between her initial plan and her evolving feelings for JK. Provide more insight into Markus's character and his relationship with both JK and Mae. Final Rating: 4.5/5"
