Prologue

Even though spring is just around the corner waiting for its grand entry, the chillness in the air still holds the traces of winter.

A castle-like structure, away from the city, was bustling with life. A warm ambiance, joyful mood, booze, and deafening music around, a perfect heaven for the hormonal bodies.

After another great victory, the city's popular hockey team, the Dark Wolves, took a break and returned home. Within a few months, they were all on their way to another tour. Their careers are all set.

In that good looking team of Gods, Liam King stood out the most. A star with an angelic heart. A perfect son, best student, a loving brother and someone’s dream!

Yep, a huge contrast to his crazy family. Never hooked up with any girl-!

Nope, he's damn straight. But his future was prearranged. And he vowed to his family to be loyal for that.

Only if he knew!

“I'm gonna kill her tonight.” A voice seethed,

“Correction, WE- will kill her tonight.” Another voice seemed a little less troubled.

On the west side of the mansion, two shadows hidden behind the patio fence were impatient. Their eyes fixated on that model like a stunning woman in red. Shining like a flame, she's undoubtedly drawing all the moths to her.

“Stupid bimbo could have come naked instead. Why wear clothes if they can't cover what needs to be covered at all?” One of them scoffed, annoyed.

“But damn, Ari, I wish I had legs like that,” The second one whined.

The other one snorted. “Oh, please Liza, you are way better than that- whatever that is. But we are here to fail her evil plans, not to admire her stupid appearance, are we?” The first girl, gritted.

“Easy to say, you got everything to die for, but me-!” Liza kept sulking.

“Would you stop that! We would be busy fussing over looks, and there she would be successful in her deed.” Ari gritted in a whispering tone.

“May I know what you two are doing here?” A very annoyed tone from behind made them jump in fright, turning back. Their eyes widened.

“Liam-! Hey, it's nothing; we were roaming around after dinner and simply happened to stop by." Liza rushed to blurt out anything came to mind.

“Yeah, yeah, just - stopped by, we never planned to- stay!” Ari stuttered, jumbled.

He folded his sexy arms, “Really! A two mile walk?” His eyebrow rose, added with a little frown, making him look insanely hot.

“Where's your car?” He inquired, grumpily.

They shared a look, swallowing. They were caught with their hands still in the cookie jar. “Ariel! Care to explain?” He let out a threatening tone. Her heart pounded.

Even though he's a family, she disobeyed his continuous warnings and reached here.

What would she say? That she learnt that the stupid woman in red was plotting something nasty against him, or that her stupid teenage hormones dragged her ass here to be a knight in shining armor?

“Mom took my car, as her car broke down today. We took a cab to the West end ice cream parlour. And was heading back walking.” Elizabeth rambled, awkwardly.

“West end? At this hour?” His eye brows rose, like don't play smart with me. “Have you seen the time? What were you thinking, Elizabeth? Come on, I'll take you both back.” He gritted annoyed.

Both the girls swallowed, nodding. A small cocky grin made on their faces as they shared glances. This is even better. If he isn't staying here, no plot against him.

Suddenly, someone inside the home yelled for him. “Liam, time for the photoshoot, get your ass back in here, hurry.”

An annoying pout made to Ariel's plumpy mouth. Liam stood there scratching his forehead.

His jaws clenched, he glared at them pointing a finger at them. “You two, listen to me carefully. Stay here, until I come back, no matter what, do not step in, okay? And do not catch their attention, God! Just stay right here." He turned to leave, gritting as if he were commanding his dogs.

“Liam,” Ariel couldn't hold herself by stopping him. Liam halted, glancing her way. His gorgeous brown eyes met her hazel Blue smokey ones.

She swallowed, “Will you be careful? I- I mean, will you watch out for what you drink? Especially, a- drinks from uh-female's! Or don't drink at all- Please!” Ariel ranted, stressfully, at least trying to accomplish exactly what she's here for.

His brows rose in amusement. Unlike usual, this blazing volcano seemed to be troubled tonight.

“So, you are here to tell me this?” His hands gripped his narrow waist, as he stood there scrutinizing her. A barely visible smile reached his eyes and soon he went back to neutral.

Ariel shifted from one leg to another, nodding and shaking her head, confused.

He bit his cheek to stop the chuckle. This fidgety girl, he helped in raising; only acts cute towards him, but for the world she's a damn grenade.

“Sure, Princess. But we are going to talk about - this!” Signalling the situation, he utters in a threatening tone. And then, giving her one more glance, he headed in.

Elizabeth sighed soundly. “If you ever change your mind, can I try my luck with your brother?” She whispered, eyes following the tall sexy man of every girl's dreams.

Ariel elbowed her not so softly, “Ow, ouch!” Liza cursed.

“Don't you dare!” She paused, “Well, you can- if I'm dead!” Ariel, mumbled, annoyed-as an afterthought.

“Aww, it was a joke, Ari, you don't have to go hulk on me-” Elizabeth groaned and cooed at her bestie.

“Well, you should know how my limbs work by now,” Ariel mumbled.

“I know, I know, but I've got ---- kinda distracted to move back.” Elizabeth giggled, earning a murderous glare from her Beastie.

Minutes turned to half an hour, but Liam didn't make it back, nor could they see him anywhere. “Can we sit, my feets are killing me.” Liza whined, sitting on the edge of the deck.

“Something isn't right, he won't go back on his words. I can't see him either.” Ariel stood there fidgeting, restlessly.

“I'm thirsty, can I have at least some water?” Liza kept her tantrums. Ariel was busy calling him on his phone but he wasn't picking it up.

“Maybe it was in silent mode. There's a lot of noise around, don't panic, Ari, you hinted it to him, he'll be fine.” Liza assured her.

“Ah, there you are.”

They both turned to the voice. Rex, a junior player, headed towards them. They know him, he's their senior. “Here, it's gonna take him a while and you can have this in the meantime.” He offered them two red cups.

Both the girls shared a doubtful glance, “It's alright, we are good, Rex.” Ariel muttered, neutral.

"No, he told me no alcohol, it's just a fruit juice." He quickly reassured. Both the girls accepted it with an awkward smile but did not drink.

“Being cautious is good in a time like this. No one is forcing you guys, you can throw it away, I won't mind at all.” He gestures, continuing “Because if something happens to you guys, I'll be dead in no time. He mentioned that you two had been here for a long time. I do not want you to seek help from anybody else." He hurried to tell them.

They relaxed, smiling slightly at him. "Thanks, Rex," Liza murmured.

He nodded, yet seemed displeased, “You guys shouldn't be here, you know? If it's okay, can I drop you both home, instead?” The guy seemed to genuinely care for them.

“It's alright Rex. We'll wait for him. No worries.” Ariel uttered, quickly.

“Okay, call any of us if needed. I'll head back now and tell him everything is okay.” He turned to leave but stopped, “Stay together, if you want to leave, just call me or Liam.” Uttering, he rushed back in, waving at them.

Someone stood there in the shadow, observing them- or just her! The more she filled his eyes that warning and determination was faltering, and a few glasses of alcohol into the system wasn't helping.

One of the most stunning girls around there. Ariel! He has watched her since she was a child. Secretly desired her. But she's the King's Princess. Liam fucking King's sister. That was the only reason no one ever dared to touch her.

Behind that good boy persona there's a beast inside him.

And no one wished to witness it after that last encounter. Those bullies who dared to mess with his siblings, were broken for life. And now she's grown into a walking sin for every man's eye.

She must be 17 or almost 18 now. Beauty runs in a family gene. Tall, 5.8, curves of perfection. Everything from head to toe, including those beautiful hooded eyes and shapely luscious lips, is custom-made to an artist's specifications. But the damn spitfire hottie is actually blazing lava, a volcano herself.

Yet he wants to burn in that.

Tonight there's a golden chance! No one would know. His hungry gaze lingered on her fully clothed, hourglass figure, and slowly backed off without seeing.

A while ago, behind the villa, in the dark corridor; two shadows were having a conversation. “Why the hell is she here? Do you think she has a clue about what we planned?” The young woman asked, annoyed.

“I don't think so. Don't worry, these siblings are always overprotective of each other, that's all. Nothing to worry about.” Another shadow is of a guy, assured her.

“Can you take care of her?” The girl in the red dress asked.

“Yep, she won't disturb you, you can proceed with your plan.” The tall lean man assured her.

“Don't do anything stupid,” Her voice became stern.

“What?” The guy asked, clueless.

“Oh, cut the act. I've seen the way you look at her.” Her voice became colder.

“Will you chill? Trust me, I won't.” He rolled his eyes.

“Remember, she's his baby sister, still minor on that, and she means the world to him, touch one single hair on her head he would kill you without blinking. So… she's out of your league. I mean it.” She warned him.

“Yeah yeah! I know him more than you do.” He rolled his eyes.

“Tell me when everything is ready.” Uttering to him she headed back, without noticing that sinister twitch that graced on his mouth.

Forbidden fruit is sweeter isn't it?

Half an hour passed, and the power went off. Someone stopped the girl in red, who was fumbling to make her way inside.

“The last room from the left,” A voice whispered in her ear.

Her mouth twitched. "Stay out of trouble,” Uttering, she moved towards the stairs, with a victorious grin.

It's pretty easy to guess what might happen next, isn't it? Well, not exactly! They say if you tamper with something you shouldn't, it will backfire big time. And that's what is coming their way. A huge mess.

But the question is who took the hit?

Their lives will be trapped in that one blurry dark night.

Instead of getting the actual clear picture, they all believed what was shown to them.

The tale revolves around the obscured event that Occurred. Where someone is desperate to find the truth, but someone wants to erase it. Where the others wanted to escape it, someone took advantage of this entire situation to fulfill their personal motive and played a nasty game.
