Hello everyone.🙋♀️

One or two new chapters will be added every day. It will end with 46 chapters.
Happy reading!😉
Mila grew up in a small village with her loving parents and her aunt. She did not go to school, as she was taught at home by her mother. For Mila, there was only her little world in the remote village, until something unexpected happened and turned her life upside down. Just as her aunt was explaining incredible things to her, hell broke loose over her.
POV: Mila
It was a beautiful Sunday morning when my mother gently woke me.
"Good morning, my darling, it's time to get up, breakfast is ready."
"Morning, Mom," I replied, still half asleep.
I slowly got up and stretched my limbs, which made my mother smile.
"Go take a shower and then come downstairs. Before we leave, we need to discuss something important," she said and left my room.
My mom had long, dark brown hair, which she always wore in a bun. Her features were welcoming and friendly. She was about 5'7" and, for almost 40, had a pretty fit body.
She rarely used the word "important."
I yawned a few more times before heading to the bathroom.
As I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, I saw that my long, chocolate-brown hair was completely disheveled, and I made a face.
After getting up, I always had a messy mess on my head, which still annoyed me, even though I knew there was nothing I could do about it.
Then I jumped in the shower, blow-dried my hair, and put on a simple white shirt and my favorite jeans. As I took one last look in the mirror, I saw my honey-brown eyes and my delicate features.
Lately, my body has been changing; it's becoming more and more womanly. Just last week, I celebrated my 17th birthday with my family.
Funnily enough, I can remember every single one of my birthdays over the past few years, and each one has been better than the last.
As I went downstairs, I tripped on the stairs. My parents, who were already waiting for me at the breakfast table, stared at me in surprise.
"Are you okay, my little angel?" my father asked me, looking worried.
Not wanting to alarm him, I jumped up in a flash, but I still massaged my knees, which I had fallen on.
Only then did I realize that nothing hurt, which I found rather strange. "Um, yeah, everything's fine, Dad," I replied somewhat awkwardly.
God, such a mess so early in the morning, only I could do something like this.
Shortly after, I sat down between my dad and my mom. When I looked at my parents, I noticed they were staring at me, with a strange look in their eyes.
What was going on?
They had never looked at me like that before. At the same time, I sensed that my mom wanted to tell me something really important.
But then my dad spoke up: “As you know, we’re leaving for Australia today for four weeks. Your Aunt Amanda will check on you from time to time and also do the shopping. Since we won’t have cell phone reception there, please contact your aunt if you need help or have any questions. We’ll send you a postcard every week.”
My dad, as always, was completely calm and collected. He had short black hair and a striking, masculine face. For his 38 years, he was very fit and well-trained.
“Dad, I’m not a child anymore, I can handle this,” I said gently.
Before my dad could reply, my mom said, “We know, sweetheart, it’s just so hard for us to leave you here. I already miss you. But we promise you can come with us next year.”
“Why next year? Is there something special about it?” I asked, puzzled.
Now my interest was piqued, because as far back as I could remember, I’d never been allowed to go.
“When we get back, we’ll explain, sweetheart,” my mom said, getting up from her chair, walking over to me, and giving me a tight hug.
I could feel her fighting back tears, so I hugged her even tighter.
After we finished breakfast, I walked my parents to our car. It was an old gray van that had seen a lot, but it had always been reliable.
They both gave me a warm hug goodbye.
As my mom got into the car, my dad handed me a small, light blue box and said, "Always carry it with you; it will protect you, my darling. And take good care of yourself." Then he gave me a goodbye kiss on the forehead, got into the car, and drove off.
I waved after them before turning my attention back to the box.
Curious, I opened the small, light blue box.
My breath caught in my throat as I saw a gleaming silver bracelet. It was very thin and had a dark green heart charm that shimmered magically.
Carefully, I put it on.
I don't know why, but I immediately felt connected to the bracelet; it was as if it were a part of me.
Completely focused on it, I walked toward the door and realized too late that it was closed.
With a dull thud, my forehead hit the door, and I groaned, "Damn it!"
I automatically rubbed my forehead while my free hand grabbed the handle and pushed down.
No sooner had I recovered from the shock of the sudden collision with the door than I wondered why I felt no pain again.
It was truly strange.
However, as I looked around the now-empty house, a peculiar feeling of loneliness washed over me.
It was very unusual for me to be completely alone at home, as I was rarely like that.
I wasn't actually scared or anything, but this completely empty house just felt... too empty.
To stop my mind wandering aimlessly, I made myself comfortable in our living room, on the old high-backed fabric couch.
With the white throw blanket that's always lying in the corner of the couch, I felt perfectly at ease.
I turned on the TV and just started flipping through the channels.
I didn't find anything interesting, but at least the house wasn't so quiet anymore.
Around noon, however, my stomach started growling, so I got up and went into the kitchen.
I quickly opened the refrigerator, and the prepared chicken drumsticks immediately caught my eye.
My mother was a gem; she had made them especially for me.
So all I had to do was put the plate in the microwave and turn it on.
The aroma was already enticing, but after I took the plate out of the microwave, I could hardly contain myself.
As I settled back down on the couch and ate the drumsticks with my hands, as usual, I had the feeling I'd forgotten something important.
However, I just couldn't remember it.
For the rest of the day, I simply relaxed and later found a TV series that I found interesting.
Shortly before midnight, though, I pulled myself together and went to my room to get ready for bed.
