Part 1 : Another new day

His eyes fluttered open at the sight of his cat, Tat, curled beside him. A faint smile crossed his lips as he gently patted the soft fur. It was 5:30 a.m.—his usual wake-up time.

Slipping into his jacket, he glanced down at Tat and asked, “Wanna come with me?”Tat stretched lazily, letting out a small, dismissive “Meow” that seemed to say, Nah, too cozy to move.

He chuckled. “Alright, suit yourself. I’ll be back soon.”

As he opened the door to leave, Tat meowed again, softer this time, almost as if saying goodbye. He stepped outside, inhaling the crisp morning air. For most, it was just another routine moment, but in The Macroverse, even the ordinary held its own quiet magic.

You’re probably wondering—who is he? And who is Tat?

He’s Aqua Lad, the middle child of the legendary Aquaman. He is38 years old and lives a quiet life with his five cats, and Tat, the eldest, holds a special place in his heart. Tat wasn’t always his; once a scrappy street cat, Aqua found him as a child, shivering in a storm drain. From that moment, they became inseparable—best friends in a world that often felt too vast and lonely.

Aqua Lad’s life might seem ordinary now, but it wasn’t always this way. Growing up, he was told he was the only child of Aquaman, the heir to a grand legacy. Yet, what he doesn’t know—what even he hasn’t uncovered—is that he has two brothers: Flame and Obsidian. Their existence is a secret buried deep beneath the waves, waiting to rise to the surface.

Aqua walked for a while, the cool morning breeze brushing against his face. It wasn’t long before he spotted his best friend—or rather, the person Aqua considered his brother—Gippu.

Gippu, known to the rest of the Macroverse as GAP, was a celebrity like no other. The biggest You Tuber in the entire Macroverse, he had amassed fame, power, and the undying admiration of millions. Fans would do anything for a chance to meet him, to bask in the glow of his larger-than-life persona.

But to Aqua, Gippu wasn’t just a superstar; he was family. The 34-year-old giraffe, though younger than Aqua, carried the weight of his fame with surprising humility. Standing shorter than most giraffes, Gippu’s stature only seemed to magnify the size of his heart.

Gippu’s past was as mysterious as it was tragic. He had never met his real parents, having been raised by a human named Daba. Despite the lack of roots, Gippu thrived, turning his charisma and creative spirit into a beacon for the people of the Macroverse.

To Aqua, Gippu’s fame and power weren’t what mattered. What mattered was the bond they shared—one that went deeper than blood or fame, rooted in mutual respect and unspoken understanding.

Gippu’s face lit up as soon as he saw Aqua. “Yoo, Aqua Laddo!” he called out, grinning from ear to ear.

Aqua chuckled and waved. “Gippu! How’s my fav Buddy doing?”

Gippu shook his head, his expression turning dramatic. “Buddy, I’m fine, but you won’t believe this—someone stepped on a flower. It’s dead now. Completely squished.”

Aqua gasped, playing along. “No way! Who did it? That person’s got a death wish!” He laughed, but Gippu remained serious.

“You think it’s funny?” Gippu huffed, crossing his arms. “I swear, I’ll make that person plant a hundred flowers to make up for it! Ugh, how can people be so careless? Typical humans. Guzz!”

Aqua placed a calming hand on Gippu’s shoulder. “Relax, buddy. It’s just a flower. You’re gonna give yourself a giraffe-sized headache.”

Gippu sighed but managed a small smile. His connection to nature was more than just sentiment—it was a reflection of his power. As the bearer of the Nature element, Gippu could heal, grow, and command the world’s flora. To him, every flower was precious, a small miracle in the vastness of life.

As if to prove his loyalty to their friendship, Gippu declined a call from one of his major sponsors, dismissing it with a flick of his hoof-like fingers. “Nothing’s more important than talking to my pal,” he said with a wink.

The two friends strolled through the park, chatting about life. Gippu’s fame, Aqua’s simple routines, and their shared dreams filled the conversation. The park was quiet except for the soft rustling of leaves and the occasional chirping of birds.

For a moment, in the sprawling Macroverse, everything felt right. It wasn’t going to last long, this peaceful stroll. Aqua’s smile faded as his eyes landed on someone familiar—not an enemy, but not someone Aqua was particularly fond of either. Something about him always made Aqua uneasy, like stepping into a room with the temperature just slightly off.

“Gippa,” Aqua muttered under his breath.

Technically, Gippa was Gippu’s foster brother, another of Daba’s unusual adoptions. But unlike Gippu’s warm and approachable demeanor, Gippa exuded an air of calculated authority. A hamster by form, but one of the most powerful beings in the Macroverse, Gippa was the epitome of brilliance and ingenuity. At just 30 years old, he had a reputation that preceded him—a reputation built on his unmatched intellect and creative ideas.

Gippa’s power wasn’t just his mind, though. As the master of the Controlling element, he could brain-hack and manipulate the thoughts of others, bending their will to his own. His ability to alter gravity itself made him even more formidable, an unstoppable force in any conflict.

But it wasn’t just his powers that unnerved Aqua. Gippa had connections—powerful ones. Despite his small size, he sat at the tables of world leaders, influencing decisions that shaped the Macroverse. People revered him for his ideas, his unmatched management skills, and his ability to bend anything—or anyone—to his advantage.

His nickname, “GP Gold,” symbolized his influence and value in every sphere. Yet to Aqua, Gippa felt less like a shining beacon and more like a storm cloud waiting to strike. The subtle way he could manipulate situations, combined with his intimidating presence, gave Aqua chills.

He wasn’t like Gippu. Not at all.

As Gippa approached, Aqua’s unease grew. Maybe it was the power, or maybe it was the vibes. But one thing was certain: this hamster wasn’t someone Aqua could ever feel comfortable around.

Gippa approached with his usual cool demeanor, greeting them in his signature style. “Hetto! How are my fine friends doing this lovely morning?”

Gippu lit up with excitement, practically bouncing in place. “GIPPAAAAA!” he yelled, his voice echoing through the park.

Gippa chuckled at his foster brother’s enthusiasm. “So, what are you two up to at this early hour?”

“Just catching some fresh air,” Gippu replied. “What about you?”

Gippa turned his sharp gaze toward Aqua, his tone light but calculated. “Same here. Needed a bit of fresh air myself. Hetto, Aqua. How’re you? And how’s Mr. Kitties doing?”

Aqua stiffened, forcing a polite smile as he replied, “They’re fine, and I’m good too. Thanks for asking.”

Gippa smiled, his sharp teeth flashing. “Good, good. Very good to hear.”

Gippu, ever the cheerful one, chimed in. “Hey, Gippa, wanna join us? We’re just walking and catching up.”

Gippa shook his head, raising a small paw dismissively. “Nope, it’s alright. I’ll be heading home now. Got a lot on my plate today. You two enjoy.”

As Gippa turned and walked away, Aqua felt a wave of relief wash over him. His unease began to fade, and his shoulders relaxed.

Gippu, oblivious to Aqua’s discomfort, waved happily. “See ya, Gippa!”

Aqua and Gippu continued their conversation, strolling through the park. Gippu glanced at Aqua with a concerned yet playful expression. “Pal, you really should do something, you know? You’re not earning much. Want me to help? I can lend you some start-up money if you want.”

Aqua waved him off, smiling. “Nah, it’s okay. You’ve helped me enough already. Remember when my car got crushed last time? You paid the entire repair bill and wouldn’t even let me chip in. I still owe you for that.”

“Oh, come on, buddy!” Gippu exclaimed, throwing his hoof-like hand in the air. “Money is nothing. Friendship? That’s what’s real.”

Aqua couldn’t help but smile. “You always know how to make things sound so simple, Gippu.”

Just then, Gippu’s ears perked up. “Speaking of timing... 10, 9, 8... 3, 2, 1... Here he comes.”

Aqua turned toward the park’s entrance, curious, and froze as he saw him: Cyborege.

The richest person in the Macroverse, Cyborege was a man of quiet influence. Despite his endless wealth, he never flaunted it, earning him universal respect. At 38, the same age as Aqua, Cyborege was friendly, down-to-earth, and one of the few people Gippa considered a close confidant.

As the owner of the TARO Foundation—the largest company in the world—he wielded immense power. Yet, his charm lay in his humility. Bound to the Metal Element, Cyborege was a marvel of technology, 99% robot with only a human brain remaining intact. His very existence was a blend of genius and mystery.

Cyborege casually waved at Gippu and Aqua as he strolled toward them. “Hey, hey! Greetings, mates!” he called out, his metallic voice carrying warmth.

Gippu waved back enthusiastically. “Cyborege! Right on time!”

Aqua, still processing the sight of the Macroverse’s most influential figure, managed a smile. “Hey there,” he said, feeling both awed and intrigued.

Cyborege greeted them with his usual friendly demeanor. “How’s life, mates? All good?” His metallic voice carried a warmth that made him instantly likable. He turned to Gippu with a grin. “Oh, and that last video of yours? Absolute gold. I watched it three times!”

Gippu beamed, scratching the back of his neck. “Hehe, thanks, buddy. Glad you enjoyed it!”

Cyborege’s gaze shifted to Aqua. “And you, Lad? How’s Cyber Aquan?”

Aqua chuckled, knowing exactly who he was referring to. “He’s good. Lazy as ever. Still sleeping, as usual.”

Gippu burst into laughter. “Typical C.A.T., huh?”

Cyborege nodded, grinning. “You know, I still love the full name. Cyber Aquan Tat. Such a unique blend!”

Tat’s name had an interesting history. His mother, a regal feline, was Cyborege’s beloved pet. That’s where the “Cyber” title came from. The “Aquan” part came from his association with Aqua and the aquatic people. And finally, “Tat” was his real nickname, combining everything into one: Cyber Aquan Tat—or in short, C.A.T.

“Funny, isn’t it?” Cyborege added, his mechanical features curving into a smile.

Aqua nodded. “Yeah, funny and fitting. Though these days, he lives up to the lazy cat stereotype more than anything.”

The three of them laughed, the tension from earlier forgotten as they shared a lighthearted moment.

By 7:30 a.m., Aqua decided it was time to head home, leaving Gippu and Cyborege chatting in the park. As he approached his house, he unlocked the door and stepped inside, only to find Ginga waiting for him, perched in a loaf position by the entrance.

The cat’s piercing gaze immediately locked onto Aqua. You don’t have any sense of time, do you? his expression seemed to say.

Ginga let out an irritated meow, almost like he was scolding Aqua. “I was dying of hunger! What are you gonna do if I die, huh? Tell me!” The string of angry meows made Aqua chuckle softly. He’d spent enough time with Ginga to understand exactly what the cat was trying to communicate.

Ginga was Aqua’s second eldest cat, a unique hybrid he’d bought from Gippu. With his orange fur and striking white stripes, Ginga was a sight to behold—almost like a traditional ginger cat, but with a touch of something extraordinary.

Extraordinary was an understatement, though. Ginga was bonded to the Dark Element, carrying a shadowy entity within him. When pushed to his limit or angered beyond reason, Ginga transformed into a deadly, merciless creature. It was a side of him that even Aqua was cautious about. Yet, despite his dark powers, Ginga was also deeply sensitive and perceptive.

Aqua reached for some food and began feeding Ginga, who eagerly devoured the meal, his earlier anger melting away. Aqua smiled, scratching Ginga behind the ears. “You’re such a dramatic little fluff ball, you know that?”

Ginga purred softly in response, proving once again that, despite his dark side, he was still the fluffiest and most affectionate of Aqua’s five cats.

After getting fresh, Aqua moved through the house, trying to wake his other cats. Sometimes, Tat’s deep sleep made Aqua wonder if the cat was even alive. But there was no time to ponder that now—he had to wake the rest up.

First, Aqua approached Othar, his fourth cat. Othar, a Russian breed, was an enigma. Though part of an experiment, he hadn’t bonded with any elemental power, but his sheer physical strength made up for it. The strange thing about Othar, though, was his love for Russian culture, particularly vodka. Even as a cat, Othar could drink up to two or three bottles without showing much effect. It was bizarre, but somehow, it worked for him.

Aqua gently patted Othar’s head, and the cat immediately awoke, meowing in his own regal way. “I am awake, Sir,” Othar said, or at least, that’s what Aqua imagined in his head. With an exaggerated jump, Othar leaped off the bed, landing on his feet with precision. Aqua couldn’t help but laugh. “You know, you’re the most dramatic cat I’ve ever had.”

Othar, always energetic, straightened up as if saluting. He liked to act like an army soldier—another odd quirk that made Aqua smile.

Next, Aqua headed toward the restroom, where his third and fifth cats were.

The third, Beast, was just as his name suggested. A wild cat from the Savannah, Beast had been hurt during transport, and Aqua had nursed him back to health. Despite being a regular wild cat without any elemental powers, Beast had a fierce loyalty to Aqua, who he saw as his father.

Beast stretched and meowed as Aqua entered, rubbing his head against Aqua’s hand affectionately. “Good morning,” Beast said—or at least, Aqua felt like he did, with his soft meowing and the way he gazed at him. As always, Beast was curious, attempting to climb on the ceiling fan like a wild animal in the jungle. He loved to hang from it, testing his agility.

Aqua smiled, watching Beast with pride, before turning his gaze toward the corner of the room.

There, two glowing red eyes stared back at him, like embers burning in the darkness. Aqua moved slowly, cautiously.

It was Demon.

Demon, his fifth and most dangerous cat, was not like the others. A cursed Egyptian cat, Demon had been a victim of black magic but had somehow survived. Gippa had once owned him, and eventually, Gippa had given Demon to Aqua. The cat was bonded to the Demonic Element, a relic of dark power that could corrupt anything in its path.

Demon was silent as Aqua approached, his gaze never leaving Aqua’s. Aqua had been teaching Demon to eat fish—a difficult task, given the cat’s disturbing appetite for human flesh. It was going to take some time, but Aqua was patient.

“Morning, Demon,” Aqua muttered, offering a careful smile. Demon didn’t respond, but his glowing red eyes softened just slightly.

Aqua could feel the weight of the room, knowing that while his cats were strange and powerful, each one carried a story of their own.

Aqua lay back on his bed, staring at the ceiling, weighed down by the thoughts swirling in his mind. I am the crown prince of Atlantis, he thought bitterly, yet my uncle took the throne. Waterking, the youngest brother of Aquaman—Aqua’s father—was now the ruler of Atlantis. He wielded the corrupted Water Element, and as the element suggested, he is a cruel king. He is doing whatever he wants without concern for anyone else.

Aqua often wondered if Waterking had been the one to kill his father. It was a thought that haunted him, but another part of his mind refused to believe it. he can’t kill his own brother, Aqua thought, feeling the weight of that truth in his chest.

Despite all the stress, Aqua tried to hide his feelings from the world. He smiled and played the part of the happy, confident prince, but deep down, the burden was too much.

Tat, his loyal cat, crawled over and jumped onto the bed, curling up beside him. The cat looked at Aqua without blinking, his wide, unblinking eyes fixed on Aqua’s face.

Aqua sighed, reaching out to pat Tat gently. “What is it, huh? What do you want?” he asked.

Tat meowed, his voice soft and inquisitive, almost as though he were trying to ask Aqua what had happened. Was he asking why Aqua seemed so troubled, or was he trying to explain something Aqua couldn’t quite understand?

Aqua, lost in thought, continued to stare at the ceiling. “Why do I feel like I’m not the only child?” he muttered to himself. “The old man said that when my father died, you all could unite... but that ‘you all’ doesn’t mean me. Ice is Waterking’s only child... and my cousin.”

Unlike Waterking, Ice was a good person—understanding, kind, and always friendly. Aqua wished that he could be more like his cousin, but the weight of his own family’s turmoil made it hard to feel at peace.

Tat, sensing Aqua’s melancholy, meowed in a tone that almost sounded like a gentle rebuke. “Meow,” Tat said, his eyes narrowing with a hint of mischief. “Bro, don’t think like that. One Aqua is enough, okay?”

Aqua couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. “You really don’t like me, do you?” he teased, his voice light.

Tat stared at him, then meowed again in that strange, melodramatic way that only he could manage. The expression on his face was unreadable, but his eyes seemed to say, Who knows? Maybe I do, because you feed me.

Aqua laughed harder, shaking his head. “You little troublemaker.” He petted Tat affectionately, feeling a small sense of comfort in the cat’s presence. Even in his darkest moments, at least Tat was always there for him, even if it was just for the food. That’s an interesting aspect of Tat’s character! His bond with the Luck Element could add a unique layer to the dynamic between him and Aqua. Maybe in future scenes, you could incorporate how Tat’s presence helps Aqua in ways he doesn’t always notice—like escaping tricky situations, avoiding accidents, or even just lifting his spirits when things seem bleak…
