The Catalyst

Opening Scene: The City

The story begins in New Dawn City, a sprawling metropolis alive with graffiti-tagged alleys, booming sound systems, and endless motion. The camera pans from the vibrant skyline to the streets below, where the city's pulse is felt in every beat of music and every voice in the crowd.

A storm brews above, casting eerie neon hues over the city as thunder rumbles. An unusual energy flows through the air—electric, heavy, like the city is holding its breath.

The Catalyst

In the heart of the Redline District, DJ Jace Vega (later known as Reverb) spins records at a packed block party. The crowd is alive, moving to the rhythm as Jace cuts and scratches. A storm rolls in, but nobody notices until a blinding bolt of lightning strikes the abandoned factory nearby.

The shockwave ripples through the city, shattering glass, cutting power, and leaving an eerie silence. Jace stumbles, clutching his head as he hears faint echoes of the crowd, though everyone is frozen. Suddenly, the sounds of the city—sirens, footsteps, voices—begin to amplify in his mind, nearly overwhelming him.

He collapses as his hands glow faintly, sending a shockwave through his equipment. The music blares back to life, but distorted and warped.
