Chapter 1
First mission
The curtains were drawn waking us from our sleep. Captain Zary always woke us up giving us five minutes to get ready every morning. I have been here for three years now.
I’m Savannah Rosewood, daughter to Melany and Peter Rosewood. I have three elder brothers who are now working for my dad’s company. In the Rosewood family four years of intensive training is mandatory.
" Grounds now!” Captain Zary shouted as the alarms went off indicating an emergency assembly. We all rushed out most of us half dressed. Forming a straight line according to our levels we all went silent awaiting the announcement.
" New mission for year 3.” The dean said standing tall and confident at the podium.
The room errupted in whispers as it was unheard of for year three trainees to go on a mission.
" All year four tranees have an assignment, but we received another assignment from above.” ′ Do they fall from heaven?′ i snorted as he continued with his speech. Due to the silence in the room he naturally heard my voice. I wasn’t fazed since i was sure i wasn’t audible.
" Miss Savannah, do you have something to say?” He asked staring at me intently.
" I said i want to take the assignment.” I was caught of guard and the only thing that came to mind was that. The silent mumurs around me stopped abruptly as the entire room stared at me.
" You can all go back except for miss Savannah.” The dean said and stepped down gesturing for me to follow him. He didn’t continue with the briefing since he already had someone to take the mission.
" Take a seat miss savannah.“he said as he sat down sliding a document towards me.
I reached for it roughly going through it.” What does it state?” I asked not really keen to read it.
" Just that if you are injured in any way in the line of duty you wont sue the organization.” Satisfied i nodded waiting for him to continue. Gladly, he did.
" You’ll be taking down a drug sindicate that is trying to infiltrate our country.” He stared at me for a while before continuing, probably guaging my reaction.
" How will i grt in contact with my informants?” I asked already getting fown to business. In the document they gave me it stated at some point yhat i would get to graduate early if i succeeded.
" You’ll choose once you’ve familiarized yourself eith the area.” I nodded as he kept explaining the mission in detail. I ended up deciding to join Beta State University as a fourth year.
