The sun cast its golden rays upon the bustling hospital entrance, where a 70-year-old man, grey-haired
and wrinkled, slowly pushed a wheelchair. His wife, frail and weak, sat with her eyes closed, her hands clasped together on her lap. A clear plastic bag hung from the wheelchair's handle, filled with medications and medical equipment.
Beside them walked a pretty young woman, her dark hair tied in a ponytail, her bright brown eyes filled with concern. She wore a white shirt and jeans, her sneakers making soft squeaking sounds as she
walked.
"Dad, please, let me push Mom's wheelchair," the young woman said, gently placing a hand on her father's shoulder. "You're getting tired."
The old man's eyes, cloudy with age, looked up at his daughter, a hint of stubbornness in their depths.
"I'm fine, Alimin," he said, his voice weak but determined. "I can take care of your mother."
Alimin's expression softened, and she smiled. "I know you can, Dad. But you're not getting any younger.
Let me help."
The old man's gaze faltered, and for a moment,. "No, Alimin. I want to take care of your mother. I've always taken care of her."
As they approached the hospital entrance, Alimin fell back, allowing her father to push the wheelchair through the sliding glass doors. Inside, the hospital's cool air enveloped them, filled with the scent of
disinfectant and the soft beeping of machines.
Alimin quickened her pace, falling into step beside her father. "We're here for Mom's regular checkup,"
she told the nurse at the reception desk, who nodded and began typing on her computer.
As they waited, Alimin's father reached out and gently took his wife's hand, his eyes filled with a deep, abiding love.
Alimin watched, a lump forming in her throat, as her father's eyes seemed to say, "I'll
always be here for you, my love."
Dr. Jungkook, a handsome young doctor with a bright smile, walked into the hospital room, his eyes scanning the space until they landed on Alyssa, Jimin's wife, sitting in her wheelchair. "Ah, Mrs. Alyssa,
it's so great to see you again!" he exclaimed, his voice warm and friendly.
Jimin, Alyssa's husband, smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Dr. Jungkook, thank you for taking care
of my wife."
Dr. Jungkook nodded, his gaze flicking to Alimin, who stood beside her father. Their eyes met, and for a
moment, they just smiled at each other. It was a smile that spoke volumes, a smile that said they shared
a secret, one that no one else knew.
Alimin's cheeks flushed, and she looked away, trying to compose herself. Dr. Jungkook, too, looked away,
clearing his throat as he began his examination of Alyssa.
As he checked Alyssa's vitals, Dr. Jungkook teased, "You know, Mr. and Mrs. Jimin, your love is truly an inspiration.
Even at your age, your love is still so strong!" He winked at Alimin, who rolled her eyes good-naturedly.
Jimin chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "Well, Dr. Jungkook, when you find the right person, age is just a
number."
Alyssa smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. "We're just lucky to have found each other."
As Dr. Jungkook continued his examination, Alimin couldn't help but steal glances at him. She knew that
Dr. Jungkook had been treating her mother for a while now, and over the months, they had developed a
friendship. But lately, Alimin had started to feel something more, something she couldn't quite explain.
Dr. Jungkook, too, seemed to sense the change in their relationship. As he finished his examination and
turned to leave, their eyes met again, and this time, the smile they shared was a little more knowing, a little more intimate.
As Dr. Jungkook examined Alyssa's chart, he looked up at Jimin and asked, "You know, Mr. Jimin, I've
been treating your wife for a while now, and I have to say, I'm amazed by the love you both share. What's
the secret to your strong relationship?"
Jimin chuckled, a faraway look in his eyes. "Oh, dear, it's a long story," he said, smiling teasingly. "Maybe
I'll tell you someday...if you come visit me at my place."
Dr. Jungkook's eyes lit up with curiosity. "I'd love to hear it, sir," he said, his tone playful. "I'll make sure to
bring my ears...and a cup of coffee."
Alimin laughed, shaking her head. "Dad, you're such a tease," she said, smiling at Dr. Jungkook.
Jimin winked at Dr. Jungkook. "Hey, someone's got to keep the young doctor entertained," he said,
chuckling.
As Dr. Jungkook finished the examination and left the room, Alimin couldn't help but notice the way he
looked at her father, a mixture of curiosity and admiration in his eyes. She smiled to herself, wondering
what her father's story would reveal, and whether Dr. Jungkook would ever get to hear it.
***
A few days after the hospital visit, Alimin was busy in the kitchen, preparing dinner for her parents. Her
phone buzzed with a text from Dr. Jungkook:
"Hi Alimin! I hope you're doing well. I was wondering if I could drop off some papers for your mom's
treatment at your place? Would that be okay with you?"
Alimin's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She couldn't help but feel a little excited at the
prospect of seeing Dr. Jungkook again.
She quickly typed out a response:
"Hi Dr. Jungkook! Yeah, that's no problem at all. We'd love to have you over. How about tomorrow
evening?"
***
The next evening, Dr. Jungkook arrived at their doorstep, carrying a bouquet of flowers and a folder full
of papers. Alimin's mom, Alyssa, was thrilled to see him, and invited him in for dinner.
As they sat down to eat, Jimin, Alimin's dad, regaled Dr. Jungkook with stories of his childhood, making
everyone laugh. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with no awkwardness in sight.
As they finished dinner, Alimin's mom suggested they have dessert in the living room. As they sat down,
Dr. Jungkook turned to Jimin and said,
"You know, Mr. Jimin, I've been wanting to ask you something. You
mentioned earlier that you'd tell me the story of how you and Mrs. Alyssa met...?"
Jimin's eyes twinkled, and he smiled mischievously. "Ah, yes...I remember now. It's a story worth
telling..."
And with that, the evening slipped into a cozy night of storytelling, laughter, and getting to know each
other better.
60 YEARS BACK
A 10 years old boy trudged along the sidewalk, his eyes fixed on the cracked pavement beneath his feet.
He was moving to a new town, again. His family had been on the move for what felt like his entire life,
and he was sick of it. Sick of starting over, sick of making new friends, sick of being the "new kid" in school.
As they turned the corner onto Elm Street, his heart sank. The small, run-down houses seemed to
stretch on forever, each one looking more depressing than the last. This was it, his new home. A small,
two-bedroom house with peeling paint and a patchy lawn.
"Hey, Jimin, isn't it great?" his mom asked, her voice dripping with false enthusiasm.
Jimin just grunted, his eyes scanning the desolate street. Where was the park? The playground? The
other kids?
As they pulled up to the house, Jimin noticed a girl playing alone in the yard next door. She looked about his age, with curly brown hair and a bright smile. Maybe this place wouldn't be so bad after all.
But as he watched, a ball came flying over the fence and hit him, causing him to fall to the ground. The
girl rushed over, alarmed, and Jimin's heart raced as he met her sparkling eyes.
"Are you okay?!" she asked, rushing over to help Jimin up.
Jimin nodded, still looking a bit dazed. "Yeah, I think so..."
Her eyes flashed with anger as she turned to the other kids. "What's wrong with you guys?! Can't you
see he's hurt?!"
The other kids looked sheepish, but one of them protested, "It was an accident!"
She scolded, "An accident? You guys were being reckless and irresponsible! Apologize to him right now!"
The kids mumbled apologies, but she wasn't having it. "No, seriously, say it like you mean it!"
The kids looked at each other, then back at Jimin, and said in unison, "We're really sorry!"
She nodded, slightly satisfied. "Okay, good. Now help him up and let's get him inside."
As the kids helped Jimin up, she asked, "Are you sure you're okay? Do you need to see a doctor or
something?"
Jimin shook his head, still looking a bit stunned. "No, I think I'm fine...just a little shaken up
She asked, "Hey, I've never seen you before. Are you new around here?"
Jimin nodded, "Yeah, we just moved in next door. I'm Jimin."
Her eyes lit up, "I'm Alyssa! Welcome to the neighborhood! I didn't know anyone was moving in next
door."
Jimin smiled, "Yeah, it's been a crazy day. I'm still trying to unpack and get settled."
Alyssa nodded sympathetically, "I know how that is. I've moved around a lot myself. But I have to say, I
love it here. It's a really great community."
Jimin's eyes sparkled with interest, "Really? What's it like?"
Alyssa launched into a enthusiastic description of the neighborhood, the local parks, and the friendly
people. Jimin listened, captivated by her warmth and energy.
As they talked, Jimin found himself feeling more and more at ease. Maybe this new place wouldn't be so
bad after all, he thought.
(The next Day)
Alyssa was sitting on a swing alone and suddenly noticed Jimin's far-off gaze and asked, "Hey, Jimin?
What's on your mind? You seem a little sad."
He hesitated, unsure if he should share his thoughts with Alyssa. It was hard for him to open up to people, especially about his feelings. But there was something about Alyssa's kind and gentle nature that
made him feel like he could trust her.
"I-I don't know if I should say this," Jimin started, his voice barely above a whisper. "But... I'm just really sad, I guess. Leaving my friends behind, starting over... it feels like I'm losing myself in all of this."
Alyssa's expression turned empathetic, and she nodded encouragingly. "You can tell me, Jimin. I'm here
to listen."
Jimin took a deep breath and continued, his words spilling out in a rush. "I just feel like I don't fit in
anywhere. Like I'm always on the outside looking in. And now, with this move... I don't know if I can do it
again."
Alyssa listened attentively, her eyes filled with understanding and compassion. She nodded along as
Jimin spoke, her expression validating his emotions.
I know how it feels, Jimin," she said softly. "Losing people you love and adjusting to new surroundings...
it's tough. But I want you to know that I believe in you. You're strong and capable, and you'll find
happiness again."
Jimin looked up at her, his eyes searching for hope.
Alyssa continued, "I know it's hard to see right now, but every turn in life brings new experiences and
joys. My parents used to say that life is like a puzzle, and sometimes pieces get lost, but new ones are added, making it even more beautiful."
Jimin's curiosity was piqued. "What happened to your parents?" he asked gently.
Alyssa's expression turned solemn, but her voice remained steady. "They passed away when I was little.
It was tough, but my grandma, has been my rock ever since. She taught me to find happiness in the little
things and to always look forward."
Jimin's eyes widened in understanding. "I'm so sorry, Alyssa. I had no idea."
Alyssa smiled softly. "It's okay, Jimin. I want you to know that even in the midst of loss, there is always
hope. And I'm here for you."
***
In a very short period of time, Jimin and Alyssa became good friends. They would play tag, ride their
bikes, and explore the neighborhood. They even started a pet-sitting business together, taking care of
their friends' pets when they were away.
Alyssa showed Jimin her favorite books and games, and he introduced her to his favorite video games
and sports. They started to have sleepovers and movie nights, and everyone would often joke that they
were inseparable.
One day, while they were playing at the park, Alyssa turned to Jimin and said, "You're my best friend,
Jimin!" Jimin grinned and replied, "You're mine too, Alyssa!"
From that day on, they were known as the ultimate duo, always sticking together and supporting each
other through thick and thin.
One normal day:
Alyssa's eyes sparkled as she opened her lunchbox. "Yes! Grandma packed me a chocolate chip granola
bar!" she exclaimed.
Jimin grinned. "You and your chocolate obsession!"
Alyssa blushed. "Hey, what's wrong with loving chocolate?"
Jimin chuckled. "Nothing, nothing! I just think you'd eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you could!"
Alyssa giggled. "Well, maybe not for breakfast... but definitely for lunch and dinner!"
As they munched on their snacks, Alyssa offered Jimin a bite of her granola bar. He took a bite and
nodded in approval. "Yeah, that's pretty good!"
Alyssa beamed. "Told you! Chocolate makes everything better!"
***
Jimin sat at his desk, his hands moving carefully as he worked on his secret project. He had been
planning this for weeks, pouring all his love and effort into creating the perfect gift for Alyssa. A small, wooden box with a intricate design on the lid. He had made it himself, using the skills he learned in
woodshop class.
As he sanded the wooden box, he thought about all the memories they had shared. He remembered the
way Alyssa's eyes sparkled when she laughed, the way her hair curled slightly at the edges when it was
humid, and the way her smile made him feel like everything was going to be okay.
Jimin's heart swelled with emotion as he carefully engraved their initials onto the box. He wanted this gift to be special, something that would show Alyssa how much she meant to him.
As he added the final touches, Jimin couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and excitement. He knew
Alyssa would love this gift, and he couldn't wait to see her reaction.
Just then, his mom called out from downstairs. "Jimin, time for dinner!"
Jimin hid the box under his bed and headed downstairs, his heart racing with excitement. He couldn't
wait to give Alyssa her surprise.
But for now, the box remained a secret, hidden away in Jimin's room, waiting for the perfect moment to
be revealed.
In the middle of this friendship Jimin parents were busy in planning and packing things, little did Jimin
knew.
***
Some days later:
Jimin's face lit up with excitement as he walked to Alyssa's house, the wrapped box clutched in his hand.
He couldn't wait to see her reaction when she opened it.
But as he approached her doorstep, his parents called out from behind. "Jimin, wait!"
He turned to see his parents hurrying towards him, looking serious.
"Jimin, we have some news," his dad said, his voice grave. "I've been promoted, and we have to move to
a new place."
Jimin's heart sank. "What? No! Not again!"
His mom put a hand on his shoulder. "I know it's hard, but this is a great opportunity for us. And the best
part is, we won't have to move again after this. We'll finally have a permanent home."
But Jimin was devastated. He thought of Alyssa, and how he would have to leave her behind. Again.
"Alyssa..." he whispered, feeling tears prick at the corners of his eyes.
His parents exchanged a glance, and his dad nodded. "Go say goodbye, Jimin. We'll give you a few
minutes."
Jimin ran to Alyssa's house, the box still clutched in his hand. He found her in her room, and without a
word, he handed her the key.
"What's this?" she asked, confusion etched on her face.
"Just keep it safe," Jimin said, his voice trembling. "I have to go. My family is moving away."
Alyssa's eyes widened in shock. "No! You can't leave!"
Alyssa's eyes welled up with tears as Jimin handed her the key. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice
shaking.
Jimin's face crumpled as he struggled to hold back his own tears. "My family... we have to move away,"
he stammered.
Alyssa's face contorted in anguish. "No! You can't leave me!" she wailed, flinging her arms around Jimin's
neck.
Jimin hugged her tightly, tears streaming down his face. "I don't want to go!" he sobbed. "But I have to!"
As they held each other, the weight of their impending separation crushed them. They cried hard, their
bodies shaking with sobs.
The sound of their sobs filled the air. They knew their lives were about to change forever.
Days passed,
Jimin's heart ached as he thought about Alyssa, wondering what she was doing and if she ever thought
about him too. He missed her bright smile and the way she made him feel like he was home. He longed
to play with her again, to share secrets and dreams, but most of all, he missed the sense of belonging he
felt when they were together.
Alyssa, on the other hand, felt a deep void in her life, like a part of her was missing. She would often gaze
at the key Jimin had given to her, remembering the happy times they shared. She missed his kind heart,
his infectious laughter, and the way he made her feel like she was the only person in the world. Tears
would well up in her eyes as she wondered if she would ever see her dear friend again.
As the days turned into years, the longing in their hearts only grew stronger. They both felt like a part of
them was missing, like they had left a piece of their soul with each other. The distance between them seemed insurmountable, but their hearts held onto the memories of their childhood bond, cherishing
the hope that one day they would reunite.
***
Jungkook's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. "So, Mr. Jimin, you
were saying that you and Mrs. Alyssa got separated when you were kids...?"
Jimin nodded, a faraway look in his eyes. "Yes, we did. It was a difficult time, but..." He paused, a sly grin
spreading across his face.
Jungkook's curiosity was piqued. "But what? How did you find each other again?"
Jimin chuckled, holding up his hands. "Hold on, hold on! This was just the beginning. There's a long way
to go, my young friend." He winked at Dr. Jungkook, who laughed.
20 YEARS LATER
Jimin, now known as "MinJae," stood in front of the sold-out crowd, his heart racing with excitement. He
adjusted his sleek, black microphone stand and gazed out at the sea of screaming fans.
As the lights dimmed, Jae's silhouette was illuminated by the flashing strobes. The crowd erupted into
cheers and chants, "MINJAE!MINJAE! MINJAE!"
With a confident smile, MINJAE launched into his hit single, "Who." The crowd sang along, waving their
glow sticks in unison.
As he performed, MinJae's thoughts drifted to his humble beginnings. He remembered the small town where he grew up, the friends he made, and the struggles he faced.
But now, he was a superstar, known for his captivating stage presence and chart-topping hits. His fans adored him, and he was grateful for their love and support.
As the concert came to a close,Min Jae took his final bow, basking in the adoration of the crowd. He had
come a long way, and he knew that this was just the beginning.
Later after the concert
Jimin settled into the plush leather seat of his car, his eyes gazing out the window at the glittering city
lights. "Hey, driver? Can you make a quick stop at a flower shop on the way home?" he asked, his voice
low and smooth.
"Of course, sir!" the driver replied, his eyes meeting Jimin's in the rearview mirror. "There's a famous
flower shop just a few blocks from here. They have the most beautiful arrangements, and it's also got a
bakery next door. If you'd like to grab a cake for...?"
Jimin's face lit up with a warm smile. "That sounds perfect! My mom's birthday is today, and I want to
get her something special."
The driver nodded, his expression understanding. "Aww, that's so sweet of you, sir! I'll take you to
Alyssa's Blooms - it's the best in town."
As they pulled up to the flower shop, Jimin's eyes widened in appreciation. The storefront was stunning,
with intricate flower arrangements spilling out onto the sidewalk. Next door, the bakery case was filled
with decadent treats that made Jimin's mouth water.
"Wow, this place looks amazing!" Jimin exclaimed, climbing out of the car. "Let's go see what they have!"
As Jimin approached the flower shop, his heart began to beat faster than normal. He felt a strange sense
of excitement and nervousness, which confused him. He couldn't understand why he was feeling this
way.
When he reached the counter, a beautiful woman with a kind smile appeared from the back of the shop.
Jimin's heart skipped a beat as their eyes met. He was taken aback by her piercing gaze and couldn't help
but stare.
"Welcome to Alyssa's Blooms!" she said, her voice warm and friendly. "How can I help you?"
Jimin was still trying to process what was happening to him. He couldn't speak, and his mind went blank.
He just stood there, frozen in place, unable to take his eyes off the woman.
"Sir, are you okay?" she asked, concern etched on her face. "Do you need some help?"
Jimin slowly came back to reality, still feeling dazed. "Y-yes, I'm fine," he stuttered. "I just... need some
flowers."
The woman smiled and began to show him the arrangements. Jimin's heart was still racing, and he
couldn't shake off the feeling that something was happening to him. He didn't know what it was, but he
knew it was connected to this woman.
