Chapter 1
Sophie had always been a dreamer. Ever since she could remember, books had been her sanctuary. She spent countless hours nestled in the corner of her favorite local bookstore, surrounded by shelves that smelled of old paper and whispers of forgotten stories. But Sophie wasn’t just a reader; she was also an artist. Her sketchbook was a reflection of her vivid imagination, filled with drawings of landscapes, whimsical creatures, and, most importantly, the prince she had sketched when she was just ten years old. A prince she believed would one day walk into her life.
Her old journal lay open on her bed that morning, revealing the same sketch of her dream prince. She traced the lines with her fingers and laughed at herself. “Childhood fantasies,” she muttered, shaking her head. Still, deep down, a part of her clung to the hope that life could be as magical as the stories she adored.
The Valentine’s Day “Blind Date with a Book” event at the bookstore was the highlight of her year. Sophie bundled up, braving the snowy streets, her heart fluttering with the anticipation that something extraordinary might happen.
