Chapter 1
The storm may be over now but the residual waves still cause ripples that rips me apart afresh when the gentle breeze returns tides to the shore.
And there is where I wait reminiscently to torture myself. With every splash against my ankles I bury my feet deeper in the sand, anchoring myself but wanting to be carried away.
Now I’m knee deep in and I already feel way in over my head, but still I venture into the infested waters. Trading breath for moments of peace underwater I repeatedly submerge until finally there’s no trace, I’ve lost myself.
