"Elizabeth Ash never disappoints - in this book is no exception it’s full of everything you would expect from one of her stories: 🩷wonderful characters that you wish for your own friends and family, 🩷beautiful locations and settings that make you wish you could move there, 🩷And the uncanny feeling that she has either been secretly reading your diaries, or can somehow see into your soul as she writes, because it just feels so personalized to you! I have my favorites in each book, but my all-time favorite characters of hers are Hafiz and Jiya, introduced at the end of season three of A Dance of Sand and Magic. Jiya has a physical disability, and having some experience with that myself, I couldn’t ask for a more lovely or heartbreakingly hopeful story to find myself within - and it *never* has felt like a gimmick or a box to be ticked. Au contaire - EA definitely has had some experience - or had loved ones with the experience - because the way she tells Jiya’s story is so true. I’m excited to find out what’s going on with all my Ranidosian friends when the hiatus is done! In the meantime, if you’re on the fence about reading this, or any of EA’s‘s books, jump on down to the ground and settle in a blanket and snacks, because you’ll never want to leave 💖 🍿 🍷📚"
