"This story honestly made me emotional 😭 Jack was confusing sometimes. But still... he was lovable. I felt bad for him, too. Hailey was really nice. Sweet but strong. I liked her character a lot. Their chemistry was soooo good ❤️ Every moment between them felt warm and real. And this story is dangerous for sleep 😂 I thought, “okay, last chapter”, and then read more. Emotional scenes actually touched me. I could feel their pain and feelings. Also, the writer handled the bullying topic nicely. It felt serious and real. Ending made me happy 🥹💕 Overall, a very emotional and comforting love story. Definitely worth reading. You will not regret it. "

"Okay, first off, I love how well rounded the entire group of people was. And the character growth of one former bully juxtaposition against another bully not changing one bit was amazing. The denseness of the two leads might've been a bit frustrating at times, but it was also totally understandable, and the payoff was well worth it."

"This story was delightful and told in a way that was just relatable, honest and authentic. I imagined each character's POV as if they were thinking back on the events in a stream-of-consciousness manner. There was a realness to their description that made it feel very intimate. The small town setting is so cozy, and the way the friends have come together to support their old schoolmate now that he's returned as Dr. Stacey is very heartwarming, especially Dale's redemption. I've always longed for some type of recognition, if not an apology, from those who bullied me in school, so I got to live vicariously through Dale and Jack's reconciliation. There are some very sweet and funny moments throughout, with characters that are just undeniably real, flawed, and layered. The romantic and sexual tension builds nicely between Jack and Hailey, with some definite surprises as the tension begins to pay off. This was a pretty easy read for me, easy to follow and a good slow burn. Well done. "

"I practically ate this book! The author has beautifully captured not only the struggles Jack Stacey had to endure in his younger years due to mobbing which still haunt him to the day, making -for us ordinary daily tasks- for him at times impossible to bear but the author managed to create wonderful characters, a gripping story line under marked with tons of good humor making this book a page turner. The author made it easy to fall in love with the characters, to live, laugh and fear with them. Reading this book made me yell many 'noooo's and 'why's as the author managed to give me as a reader the possibility to be right there along side the characters. Many unexpected funny plots twists kept me intrigued and hard to put the story away. A quick peek into the next chapter underneath the work desk won't hurt no one, right? Five stars for outstanding writing. A gripping story line, beautifully created characters and a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work and letting me be part of their journey. I certainly know now who I will call next time when I am sick. Doctor Stacey! "
Amazing
"A touching - often surprising- story with well-rounded characters comprising an excellent cast, plenty of twists and turns, and a slow-burning romance that’s well worth the wait. The chapters are action-packed, eventful, and engaging. Despite that (and the excellent, vividly descriptive writing), time flies when you’re reading this book. The ending definitely seemed to come out of nowhere and left me wanting more. But, looking back on it, it was a nice wrap up considering everything that led up to it. Honestly, not a dull moment. Relatable, heartwarming, and filled with personality. You quickly grow to know and love the characters, and even the supporting cast is filled out well. The author has a lot of passion and it definitely shows. This was a roller coaster ride with a little something for everybody. Would recommend 👍"

"Sweet romance tangled up in complex characters. The romance itself is great…you’re cheering when they finally figure it out. But, what’s truly enjoyable to read is the redemption of a bully and exploring what that looks like in reality. All of the characters - the main leads as well as the supporting casts - are well rounded and add dimension to the story. Wonderfully done!"

"❤️An incredibly sincere and interesting story. Beautifully written and with no less important meaning that the author conveys to the reader. Jack, although sometimes weak in spirit, is a strong character who overcomes his fears and moves forward. I can even say that he is a special character. ❗️I had never met or read about albinos before. But in this book I learned more about the characteristics of such people and how society sometimes treats them. The author raised the important topic of bullying people who have some differences, emphasizing that this did not make them some kind of different person who should be made outcasts. I respect this and applaud the author. ✅The book is wonderful, I read it with great pleasure and am no less looking forward to the next chapter. I would not add anything, because I like how the author writes and forms sentences. She is a great person, and I believe that the continuation will not disappoint me and the next books will be just as cool."

"I get slow burn and then there’s this. You wait until the very end to see them together you get to see no relationship. I wasted an entire day reading this. This had so much potential to be a really good story but it just wasn’t. "
