Thomas: seating on the floor :)

Twig: i mean, why the hell are you seating in the floor

Thomas: uh...row why was i on the floor? -he directly look at you-

Rowan: you feel from the stair

Thomas: oh yeah i fell down the stair jeje :D

Twig: THOMAS! you dumbass you could have died!

Thomas: come on twig relax, i’m untouchable -he had a smirk while racing an eyebrow in a funny way-

You chuckle at Thomas silly expression but suddenly you hear the echo of a loud bang against a wall, you wonder if your friends hear it too

Rowan: Hey guys, did you hear that? -you ask interrupting they argue-

Thomas: hear what potato? i didn’t hear anythingTwig: Neither did I ,what did you hear rowi?

Rowan: like a bang

Thomas: like a bang from a gun or-

Rowan: like something been thrown against a wall or something

Twig: maybe is just your imagination -he shrug-

You sigh and let it pass, but the bang become insistent and start to frustrated you because no one else could hear it apparently, so you decide to check what was going on and what was making that annoying bang, but as soon as you lift up your head to let your friends know that your gonna see what’s doing that noise you see one of those things behind them with their mouths wide open ready to rip of their body’s apart

Before you could scream you wake up sweating cold on your bed, it was that dream again...you hear the bang again and realize that is your neighbors from the next door, miss and mister Anderson are quite...active in bed, and loud too, at first you didn’t mind the first times this happen but they do this everyday and is very annoying and disgusting to hear ,one time you actually wanted to call miss Anderson a bitch for been so loud and adiccted to have sex but your sweet father stop you from that giving you a chocolate and a dollar, soon you realize something, everything was silent...no moans, no pants or giggles...the Anderson’s were in pure silent and that freak you out for the first time, then you hear your father gasp and fall onto the floor of the next door, making you freak out even more and jump out of bed, accidently tripping with your boots and falling

Rowan: ow shit!! >:C dad?! Dad, are you okay? What’s wrong? -you get up quickly after falling and run out of your room and rush to the hall, finding your dad seating on the floor in front of the Anderson’s door-

Rowan: dad! Are you okay? -you shake your fathers shoulder, he seems to be in shock, but why?- Dad, what are you staring at?...

that’s when you see it...the Anderson’s door slightly open, you get close to see through it...and wished you hadn’t done that...inside the Anderson’s room you find them both but, Amy was been eaten by mike who had transform in to one of those things ,he was large and he’s eyes were white as the snow with a single dot on it, what you have hear on your dream and when you woke up ,was him make tearing apart Amy’s body against the bed and the wall, there was only organs half eaten and Amy’s head on the floor looking in direction of the door, mike seems to be holding one of Amy’s breast but you can’t tell your sure with all that blood over it ,he’s peeling the skin off to eat it like is was a fruit.

your dad quickly react forcing himself out of he’s shock state and close the door and drag you to the living room searching for the gunshot

Gabriel: sweetheart call the C.O.V, we have a infected state 2 in the house -he said and get the gunshot out of the safe cage and load it-

Rowan: ah y-yes immediately -you get to the house phone and quickly call the C.O.V-

C.O.V assistant: yes? What’s your emergency?

Rowan: we have a infected state 2 right now

C.O.V assistant: okey gimme your direction, patrol will arrive in no time don’t worry

Rowan: blackwood house,12 sector first house as you enter in, please hurry up

C.O.V assistant: be patient ,the patrol will arrive soon

It’s true, the patrol did arrive soon but your heart was pounding so fast against your chest that you feel like an hour had passed before the patrol actually arrive, you start to dissociate as your father stands beside you holding your hand, caressing it to calm you down, one of the man of control of viral mutations (C.O.V) was talking to your dad and collecting information about how mr.Anderson got infected ,but you know they will have to come back lately and disinfect the hole house for some long hours or maybe the hole day...is annoying...but it's been 3 months already since it started

C.O.V man: hey -he gives you a palm on the shoulder-

Rowan: ah yes sir? -you get wake up from your dissociating state-

C.O.V man: you did a good job young lady...

Rowan: hm....thanks sir...

You can't help but want to run away, you hate this...if they had some early that day...maybe your friends would be here; it's 7 am so you and your dad still had to go to work and school, not the most amazing or funny thing to do. 3 Months ago ,a weird viral infection was found in the ice of south pole and of course the scientists wanted to investigate it but well, that did not end well, one f them mess up by not following one simple protocol ,this virus is not only spreads around like a fungus but also like a normal flu, no one notice it until it was too late...one night everything went down hell, it was like the last of us but this things weren’t zombies or infected like in the game...their heart still beats and bleeds ,they just go nuts and start to bleed this weird black viscus thing, is a mutation, their body stretch and get large and their skin slowly rot while also starting to become...monsters in some way.

The worse thing is the fact that there’s no other solution for this but...died or burn to dead the hole planet, but people don’t want to die but neither burn their home planet...so the government decide to make sectors with huge walls were a bunch of military and C.O.V will watch them 24/7 and make sure that no one gets infected, but it's easy to notice that didn’t work because of what happen to the Anderson’s, sometimes things like this happen every now and then, but there will be always a little light of hope hiding, you just need to search for it...

Rowan: so...now what? -you look at your dad still recovering from the adrenaline-

Gabriel: I guess we have to start our morning, wanna eat some toast? -goes to the kitchen-

Rowan: yeah, with your special strawberry jam! is the best -you follow you dad inside and boil some water for some tea-

Gabriel: oh and rowi? -taking out the strawberry jam and bread for the toast-

Rowan: yes?Gabriel: be nice at school

Rowan: oh please, i’m always nice

Gabriel:you can't keep getting into fights with pablo all the time when he makes fun of you or teases you.

Rowan: But he keeps making fun of me for calling you dad even though you’re my uncle...you basically raised me after my parent’s death...

Gabriel: well...you were 6 when they died...i took you in my care because i knew it was the best and you know that some people are cruel about this type of thing -he gets close and hugs you to comfort you-

Rowan: ...but it still makes me so angry ,he’s a huge brat sometimes... -you hug him back-

Gabriel: And by “sometimes” you mean?

Rowan: every day

Gabriel: yeah i knew you were going to say that hehe but really, you need to be a bit more patient with pablo -he ruffles your hair and gives you a toast with jam- here you go

Rowan: okey okey -you get the toast and give him some tea and eat the toast-

Your not gonna be patient with pablo, he’s impossible to be around, anyway once you finish your breakfast you and gabriel dress up and he leaves you at school and of course you’re the first one of arriving because is fucking early ,so you seat on your chair and start to hear music with a walkman that tour biological father use to adore so you hear some of he’s favorites songs just to keep your self bussy, but your happy because your first clase is biology and you love biology besides pablo is not in that class....but that’s not the only reason why...

After some time the students and teacher get to class and you’re excited because Miss Honey will make all your classmates and you dissect a frog and see if had any diseases or just see his organs in a microscope. Is it pretty interesting in some way but there’s other reason for you to like this class...but anyway the class go on you do an excellent work dissecting the frog and miss honey gives you a little pat on the back and congratulate you, is nice to have her around, she’s just sweet as her name and is a very understanding person that’s has help you a lot with your “issues” with pablo, the break bell rings and everyone goes out to the hallways or who knows, but you go to the back yard because almost nobody goes there and is it very peacefull

Rowan: ....the sky is clear.... -you look up to the sly while sitting down near by a tree and take out a sketchbook and make some notes about something-

Little alex is your neighbor, he comes to you red poppies and lilies of the valley on his hands and with his knees with dirt so as he’s cheeks and foreheadAlex: hi rowan, i took some flowers from the other side of the fence

Rowan: i told you to not cross the fence again, is dangerous you know that -you sigh and clean the dust off his face and knees-

Alex: But you do the same to see Thomas...hm -he gives you the poppies- i took the poppies for him, can you give it to him?

Rowan: ...uh...yeah sure pal, i’ll make sure to give them to him... -you sigh a bit and accept his request-

Alex: hehe -he smiles and seats next to you- rowan....can you explain something to me?

Rowan: Of course, what’s troubling your little mind? -you put back your sketchbook inside your bag-

Alex: well...mom told me that you’re not a girl...or a boy, how is that possible? -he title he’s head curious-

Rowan: well you see i’m-

Pablo: She’s a freak! Jaja! She’s stupid thats whats happen kid -he shouts from a window and walks away laughing about you-

Rowan: like i was saying, im gender fluid, biologically speaking i am a girl but i don’t really consider myself like one, i can consider myself like a guy or like a girl -you ignore pablo’s words and jut explain things to alex-

Alex: oh...oh! that’s cool! So, you go by the two? -his little eyes shine-

Rowan: or anything else, but yes i do go by she or he but also they or them

Alex: so...can I call you dumpling?

Rowan: dumpling? -you stare at him in confusion-

Alex: yes, cause ....i like dumplings

Rowan: pff okey ,you can call me dumpling if you like -you stroke he’s curly revel hair

Alex in an innocent angel, a really sweet kid that is almost impossible to believe how happy he is just to be with people that care and play with him, but this won’t last forever, even though you want this to last for an eternity the reality is that the world is just starting to died and will drag every last human soul with it, at some point you know that Alex will have to understand that nothing will be forever and will have to understand that this world is cruel and fill with bad things that no one wants to accept.

Afternoon comes and you walk Alex to his house, then you sneak out of the safe fence that is around the area that contains the community, the school and C.O.V small base, you walk in the plains that are fill with beautiful flowers and some trees with birds chirping as you get to an old house with the windows barricade with wooden planks, while you stand in front of the house you remember your world come crashing down the day twig and Thomas were with you in this house, the echo of their voices calling your names hurts deeply to remember, you walk to the backyard of the house and see twig still remains there, you cut and remove the bad herbs that had grown around it, you also leave there flowers for him in his grave, but soon your sorrow was interrupted by the footsteps of someone standing behind you

Rowan: ...you want to leave some flowers too...Thomas? You get your hands in your pockets and don’t turn around

Thomas: ...for him?....i could never wish something better.
