Background info
Hello dear readers, today we will dive into the story of Kuchisake-Onna or, the slit mouth woman, I will be going over the story I heard, if you know the actual story please tell me. If you want to tell me about a creature you know of, I’ll write about it(if you don’t tell me the story of the creature I’ll have to look it up on google). Anyways, here’s what I found on google “According to legend, Kuchisake-Onna was a woman who was mutilated during her life, with her mouth being slit from ear to ear. In some versions of the story, Kuchisake-Onna was the adulterous wife or a mistress of a samurai during her life.” Nice but kind of boring, now, time for the story i heard. “Kuchisake-Onna was a beautiful woman, she was told so by everyone, everyday, she loved going out in public and getting complements, she also loved looking in mirrors. Kuchisake-Onna was married to a swordsman, but she had a secret boyfriend. Her husband found out and killed her boyfriend, he decided to cut her face, giving her a bloody smile. He looked at her and said “now nobody will think your beautiful.” Kuchisake-Onna couldn’t take it when nobody thought she was pretty, when she saw the horror in their face when they saw her. She grabed the sword her husband used to kill her boyfriend and took her own life. She now haunts men, she appears to them as a beautiful woman who wears a surgical mask. She will ask them “do you think I’m pretty?” If the person says yes she will remove her mask and ask “do you still think I’m pretty?” If no, she will cut their face with scissors making their face scarred like hers, then she will plunge the scissors into the victim’s chest.” Cool, right? Anyways, enough background info, the next chapter will be the last chapter of this book (Yes, only two chapters🙏😔) it’s going to be a story including the slit mouth woman (And the crowd goes wilddd!!!) sorry this is a long chapter, i kinda forgot about this book so it took me two years to make this💀 that’s all!
