Chapter 1-My abilities

I was 8 years old, when I lived in a childhood home in Dallas, Texas. During this time, I had no idea that psychics and mediums existed until I had a vision about the death of a friend. That friend was Hal, he and my brother knew each other pretty well. My friend Hal and I were always hanging out with each other in high school, that’s how he became close with my brother and I. As we got older, Hal began being depressed, and it eventually led to his death. If I did something that day to help, he would probably still be alive. Allen knocked on my door and told me that Hal had died by suicide. He jumped off of a bridge, he fell 50 ft. I cried in my brother’s arms, and he told me that everything will be ok. It’s been 4 years since the death of my friend Hal. I think of him every single day. One day, when I was sleeping, I saw his spirit come to me.

Liz sits up in her bed, stunned, and Hal is walking towards her. He sits on her bed beside her.

Hal: I missed you so much, Liz.

Liz: I missed you too, Hal. What are you doing here?

Hal: I’m here because I need your help. I can’t move on into the afterlife yet.

Liz: So you’re saying that you have unfinished business. Even if I decided to help you, where do we even start?

Hal: We can start by seeing my family and relaying my message to them.

Liz: I don’t know if I can help. I’m still new to being a psychic medium.

Hal: Yea, I know that’s why I decided to ask you.

Liz: Ok, I’ll help since you’re my best friend.

Hal: I also wanted to say that I’m sorry for leaving the way I did and for causing so much pain for everyone.

Liz: It’s ok Hal, I completely understand.

When Liz and Hal are done talking, she stands up to get ready for a brand-new day before helping her friend.

Hal: Where are you going?

Liz: Unlike you, I’m getting ready. So that means that you have to leave my room until I’m finished getting ready.

Hal: Ok, I’ll leave. Let me know when you’re finished.

Liz takes a shower and brushes her teeth. After that, she gets breakfast. When Liz is finished with breakfast, she tells Hal that she’s finished. Hal appears in front of her eyes with a smile on his face.

Hal: Shall we get going so I can finally move on into the afterlife.

Liz: Of course we can.

Hal: It’s great seeing you again, Liz. I miss you and your brother a lot.

Liz: We miss you too, Hal.

Liz and Hal arrive at Mr. and Mrs. Morrison’s house in St. Petersburg, Florida, Liz lives 3 hours away from them. She knocks on the door and Mr. Morrison answers the door.

Mr. Morrison: Hello Liz, what can we do for you?

Liz: I’m here because I have a note from your son, Hal. He told me right before his death, if anything were to happen to him, can I give this note to you and Mrs. Morrison.

Mr. Morrison and his wife read the letter, they thank Liz for giving it to them. Liz walks outside and makes her way to Hal.

Hal: How did it go?

Liz: Everything went well, your parents said they’ll cherish the letter forever.

Hal: Thank you for everything you did for me, Liz. I really appreciate it.

Hal looks up at the sky and begins glowing. Suddenly, he turns into dust. Hal has finally made his way into the afterlife. Liz whispers to herself ," Goodbye Hal until we meet again.”
